Matt.Cross
That's a sweet rig alright, it's always that LT quick-detach scope mount that catches my eye first though. You just can't beat 'em.
TacBlade
What is the best height to get in that Larue Mount? There are several? What do you use Matt?
SICARIO
The Larue LT-104 works really well. It sits a little higher than the lt-158 (1.5" vs 1.44") but it doesn't have the 10MOA built into it.I talked with Larue about which would be a better choice for the 308, here's what they said: "Depending on how far you are shooting, the 10 moa will make a difference. If you want to be able to dial adjustments out past 600 yards up to 1000yards, you will need the 10 moa base. If you know you will never dialadjustments beyond 600 yards, then you'll be fine with the LT104. Bothmounts will clear the Troy sight"I figured since I wouldn't be making adjustments (I've got the 7.62 ballistics reticle on the scope), the lt-104 would be perfect, and it's the same mount I have on my AR. Matt.Cross
I use the LT-158 because it gives a good clearance for say a 50mm objective lens. That and it had to be QD.... Here's the page for the LT-158http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=
