imschur Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 The interior of the VTAC was very abrasive and I accidentally scraped the teflon at the muzzle of my DPMS SASS barrel. Anybody have a suggestion for repairing it. Just need it to last long enough for the first time to the range for some pictures.
TacBlade Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 How about this:http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=24784/Product/LIQUID_TEFLON_MOLY_GUN_FINISH

survivalshop Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Whats the BBl. made of ? If its S/S some kind of paint , maybe. If just steel , some kind of cold bluing or paint , high temp of course. Is it a glossy finnish ? You sure its Teflon ?
imschur Posted January 31, 2011 Author Report Posted January 31, 2011 according to DPMS it's teflon coated stainless
bahamacop Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 I'm gonna throw out Krylon BBQ Paint..... the flat finish of it and high heat resistance looks similar. I used it on a stainless comp and it worked like a champ.
