planeflyer21 Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 How many individual pieces did you drop, and how many kits did you have to purchase? Ill be honest, I'm going to do this, but on a paintball gun first. Did you have to plug the barrel? A guy at the range said his buddy does GREAT hydrodipping, having spent about $1500 just to get the process perfect. Yes, the barrel must be plugged.
Robocop1051 Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 I've never done it myself. I called a local company that mainly does motorcycle parts. They answered all my ?'s and said they had just started doing firearms. They had only recently acquired their FFL to accept items in the mail.
beachmaster Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 I have a semi local shop that is getting into it. I wonder if they would also do cerakote, and what they would charge... I guess I would do all the disassembly and reassembly myself, as I dont trust a shop that isn't first and formost a firearms shop to do it. I would hardly trust some "gunsmiths" to do it...
