  1. I just want to know where he got it from?
  2. True beauty!
  3. Look up Bryon Salt of Saltworks, has a 308 style AR around 6 pounds. If I remember correctly its about $1300 for a complete rifle or you can buy what you need from him.
  4. Washguy yes 300 miles is a long way to go especially from Dallas ! If you really want to do that take small trips using fm roads get where you want to be. I'm like you in a sense,I'm in Arlington but for land within a couple of hours away at max. The more isolated the better as long as you have water ! If using propane, think about how many people have grills in their backyards. Just an idea.
  5. I deliver a lot of the stack on gun safes that people order from Wal-Mart and Amazon and have found that the combination key pad is very easily broken/off. With that said any safe is better than no safe! Like it was mentioned check on Craig's list, I just found 2 one is a walk in with 2 doors and very large for $700.00, the other one was an old bank safe made in 1832 for $1000.00 I don't think they had fire ratings back then. I understand that you live in an apartment and didn't state what floor, that's something else to think about along with how large of a safe you need. If you can buy for the future not just for what you have now.
  6. I owned a few delta elities in the past and will buy more if possible, I carry one daily as a ccw. The glocks don't do anything for me,yes it holds more rounds but thats why im waiting on a Fusion Arms Grand Sport. 1911 style double stack! Yes you will need to practice with the full power loads but in the long run will be happy with it. If you reload you can taylor the loads for you situation that you may encounter.
  7. 1st off dont let think a handgun is a primary weapon for bears! The 10mm is a great round and gun, the RIA is a good 1911 platform although the glock 2o in 10mm holds more rounds. I love the round and the guns as far as ammo goes the best on the market is Underwood with the 200 gr xtp bullets next would be the buffalo bore 220 gr hardcast. But make sure they will function in whatever gun he chooses. He can get a load of information at www.10mmfirearms.com
  8. Ok so I'm slow but patience is the way to win. Just saw this post after posting earlier about this. I'll buy one next week to try it out, didn'thave the card with me when i first saw but did like it and glass was clear.
  9. Saw one the other day at a new lgs, they were asking msrp of $480.00 but found them a bit cheaper elsewhere. Glass looked good, anybody try one yet or see them, experience with them. Haven't had any problems with there red dots and since their office is 10 minute from my house. Went to get a cover from them and they gave me a new cleaning cloth, screws and a couple of batteries incase i needed them free of charge.
  10. Those are some of the reasons why im looking at a 375wsm, it doesn'thurt to have extra power when hhunting big hogs or reaching way out there for game/predators. Probably the secondbest bullet sselection available as well.
  11. Cali_Ed so what did you decide on? Im trying to get a 375wsm going again, life got in the way for awhile.
  12. Are there any other Texas vets on board? The Texas Veterans Land Board would loan up to $100,000.00 per vet with 5% down. Just a thought, either signed up or retired in Texas.
  13. 375 wsm. Plenty of good quality of bullets in that caliber, dies are available at a reasonable cost. Its not hard to resize 300 wsm brass. Exotic looks and performance at a working mans price!
  14. Forsaken Arms, thanks for the heads up. Will check them out.
  15. That's the kind of luck I've been having lately.
