Well Drew, you waited so long to ask that I don't remember anything other than finding it on yahoo search....i think. Might I suggest putting that pinning that question on the intro board so that most people will see it as soon as they come in?

Yeah that helps. Like I said, I was just wanting a little price comparison data. I bought most (hopefully all) the materials I need to build a bench and am going to make it out of 2x6's and 4x4's mainly. Here is what I spent so far on materials for a 6'x40"x34"tall bench. 2 2x4x10 treated @ 8.48 4 2x6x12 treated @ 29.88 100 3/8x1 1/2 washers @ 14 100 3/8 nuts @ 9 50 3/8x5 1/2 carriage bolts @ 37.50 10 3/8x7 carriage bolts @ 13.50 8 6" 6 hole L-brackets @ 29.44 (might take them back though) 1# 2" screws @ 8.67 1# 3 1/2 screws @ 8.67 tax 13.29 Total 172.43 I was able to get some 4x4 pieces and some other boards from my dad too. I hope to be able to get a little done today before church and then I will take some pictures once I get the top put together.

Would you mind posting how much you spent on just the fully built bench? I decided to build one from scratch and bought (and aquired from friends and family ;D ) most of the lumber and materials that I will need to build it so I was curious about price comparison. No problem if you don't though. I will try to update with pics as I get time to work on it, but time is a valued commodity at the moment with not enough to go around it seems though so it will probably be a little slow coming lol

im tryin, i ordered one and they only sent me two stainless weight slugs and not the carrier or tungsten weight slug. i called and they said they would send me the other parts but i havent seen them yet :/ dont know what to think about it

Im waiting on my Carrier weight system from Superior Shooting since they only sent me one out of three pieces when they first shipped it. I am also waiting on an SR Gold trigger from PACT Inc, you have one don't you Drew? I ordered it the 14th and haven't seen or heard anything except for the initial receipt and I have emailed and tried calling to see when it might possibly be shipped and haven't gotten an answer.

ha, if you say so....Well, the PRS is on. Along with a CS flatwire spring, (I would have the Carrier Weight System from Superior Shooting Products put on as well but of the three pieces that were supposed to come in the package: 1 carrier sleeve, 1 stainless weight, and 1 tungsten weight. I got: 0 carrier sleeve, 2 stainless weights, and 0 tungsten weight; how they messed that up I have no idea but at least tech support was nice about it) now I just have to figure out something with my strap since the original strap won't fit into the anchor points on the PRS, and make a few mods to my case and cut a little more foam since the PRS doesn't quite have the same footprint as the A2. Oh yeah, and I also want to get a monopod now ;D

how difficult is it to change the a2 stock? i just got my magpul prs stock today and i think i will undertake the task of putting it on tonight :-)

so just your everyday, run-of-the-mill carburator cleaner...never would have thought of that. That's the reason I asked though; thanks for all the tips guys. I'm more than happy to look at all the info/advice I can to keep my gun in the best condition possible...plan on keepin this one for a nice long time.

Good idea about the colored sharpies on the primer, then you just write down what each color is and you are good to go. I do like the idea of the 100 or even two 50 shell boxes (my reloading buddy has a 50) but as I hadn't ever done any reloading I did not have one :o lol I got all the different loads stored and labeled well enough for now though. I loaded them into a couple empty factory shell boxes I had, and put the rest in clips with the load info on a piece of paper inserted between the top shell and the feed lips :) For future reloading though, DEFINATELY want to get some of the little green reloading boxes lol

With my LR-308 in the Pelican case it weighs 36 pounds lol
