  1. the flooding???
  2. okay, thanks drew. I think I was already at that page on superior shooting but I didn't see anything about it bein a flatwire spring
  3. I have been tryin to find it online so I can see how much it will be so I can decide if I want to buy one. I found the regular round cs buffer springs but all I can find about the flatwire is tech info, not any prices or buying options.... any help to that end?
  4. Here is what most of my ammo stash is.....http://catalog.ammodepot.com/itemdetail.php?itemnumber=PTR308500 I have shot a bunch of this and while its not GMM or anything it will hit what you are aiming at. I have shot out to 300 yards with it and demolished an old satalite dish at that range (and not I'm not talking about one of those massive dishes, just a normal house sized dish) I have noticed it shoots a little bit dirtier than a lot of your commercially made ammo but I did a little research before I bought it to make sure it isn't harmful to the gun. Just not a very clean burning powder. I would be willing to sell a box of 20 or so at cost plus shipping if anyone would be interested in trying some before buying a bunch. They also sell boxes of 100 rounds too, but they cost a bit more per round. The other stuff in my ammo depot consists of the newly purchased (and unshot so far) 175g Federal GMM, 168g Winchester Surpreme balistic silvertips (for hunting), 180g Federal Powershok, and a box or two of a few others. On another note, has anyone tried out any of the Hornady Superformance cartridges yet??
  5. I haven't heard of that brand, sorry.
  6. sorry for your misfortune with the gun laws there.....who knew schwartzy would ban everything he used in the movies lol. I'm glad there are very few restrictions here n OK and the rest of the midwest
  7. if you see somethin that you want be ready to jump on it, I bought mine right out from under another dude cuz he was tryin to be a funny guy and push the price down further than what the guy had already said was firm. I pulled out my money n handed it to him and when the other guy decided to be serious the gun was already in my hands and my money was already in the sellers 8)
  8. I know it's not exactly the same but Botach Defence has the Springfield M1A Socom 16 Rifle for 1585 member price....
  9. 22.50 per 20 or 210 per 200 members price from Botach Defence. And I decided that I'm gonna push the button and order the Magpul PRS....it's just too good of a deal to pass on at that price
  10. That's some pretty nice shootin man, looks like you got yourself a little (well maybe not so little) tack driver
  11. lol you aren't kiddin about that. Just guessing because I don't have a scale readily accessible but I would say mine is even heavier than that because I decided I wanted it to be a little more balanced rather than so barrel heavy and added a stock weight. They make those babies stout. My Pelican 1750 cases is no lightweight either ;D What kind of case are you using?
  12. Don't really know anything about the 308L but I hunt with my LR-308 and love it so I don't know why the lighter model wouldn't be even a little better. I would still want to pick up a bipod for it right away. 7.9 pounds is unloaded and I don't know if that includes a scope.
  13. Just today I got my box of federal GMM ammo that we were informed of by one of our forum mates :)
  14. Fired or non or does it matter?
  15. I don't know anything about german surplus either.
  16. Great to have ya SS. Have you done any mods or add ons to your LR-308?
  17. I love playing paintball, football, and about any sport other than basketball. I'm not to fond of basketball after breaking my right wrist playing it :).
  18. well imo its an ancient piece of history that, based on when you said you bought it, is about a decade older than any information i have wouldve been useful :P
  19. That's no excuse madhouse!! I post from my phone regularly and don't have any problems! lol Yeah you should definitely do that bandit. I'm gonna be there for sure. I only had all day saturday to look last year and will be the same this year, but I felt like I got most of the stuff seen. I'm sure there were a few things I missed though lol
  20. lol Honestly I couldn't tell ya what they are like price-wise. I haven't been to one since I went to the wanamacher last year where I bought my LR-308. Gimme a couple weeks n I'll tell you what I see. I know exactly what you mean about getting tired, I bought my rifle at about 9 in the morning and then was carrying it around til about 7 if I remember right. Those lr-308 are heavy....they get a whoooole lot heavier after humping one five hours lol. Well worth it though, it was fun and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
  21. Anyone have any gun shows coming up around your areas? Here in Oklahoma there's one in OKC this weekend that I don't know much about, BUT March 10-11 there is a SLIGHTLY larger show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Anyone ever heard of the Wanemacher gun show? It's only one of, if not the, biggest shows in the world. I plan to be at that one, wouldn't miss it actually. Just curious to see if anyone else would be going, and seeing what else was coming up in the world of gun shows.
  22. What about you bandit?? you close?
  23. LOL, yeah sounds like you might have to make a price list of sorts and put it in the will
  24. im in the same situation you are in, i bought some c-product mags about a month ago and haven't gone shooting yet since then. i was also thinking about getting some pmags sometime too.
  25. just ordered 200 rounds, thanks again draco. Now I just gotta make it shoot straight to be worth it ;D
