  1. Wow! That is a good point! My kids are going to be machinist when they grow up. They have no choice! LOL!!!
  2. Welcome to the Forum!!!
  3. Those look nice!!! What are the options that can be mounted on that side rail?
  4. Not a whole lot different. I have just recently put the adjustable gas block from JP on and I have only test fired it. I have not been to the range to do some real shooting. I think I have the gas holes off some and I am trying to get that straightened out now.
  5. I used the DPMS parts kit in mine and everything work good!!! There was some play between the upper and lower, so I used a JP tension pin to tighten it up and make it solid.
  6. I found out that the Tango Down panels were the ones. They have since discontinued the sandpaper type of texture and now are of the current ones pictured above. I ordered the SCAR version, which are like the above, but totally textured. Thanks for the help guys!!!
  7. These are the full coverage rail covers that slip on? Thanks!!!
  8. I really like the Lock-N-Load Hornady setup. It makes it real easy to change out dies.
  9. I don't think you are talking about me, but I would love one or two of those!!!!
  10. You can take the scope off and put it back on and it returns to zero with quality mounts. I would go with Larue Tactical.
  11. I have some plain ones like that on my .50 BMG lower/upper
  12. I have to say this also. That rear sight and rail is made by XS sight and they come standard on this model. The fella I bought it from, said it never came with the shotgun, but it states in the website that is does come with it. I called Remington and told them my story and they said it is $165.00 plus shipping for just that rail and sight. They then said they would get it out to me right away, Free of charge!!! The best part, they did not blink an eye to help me out.
  13. I know thay are not "Custom", but Fobus, opps!!!, Galco has been my favorite for years!!! LOL!!!
  14. As far as I know, the Rockchucker has been the standard for a long, long time. You cannot go wrong with that kit. But, like others will tell you, you will have the Sinclair Catalog out in no time, ordering upgrades that you cannot afford!!!! LOL!!!
  15. I took the Breacher Choke tube, as it is made to really spread out the shot as it comes out. I replaced it with a Dead Coyote Choke Tube made by Carlson's. With the new Dead Coyote "T" Shot, they claim kills out to 70 yards? I bet not with a 18 1/2" barrel like mine? I bet they were using a real long barrel and shooting 3 1/2" shotshells. I bought the 3" shotshells, I am going to get them Dogs into about 20 yards and blast them. 20-30 yards is about average for most, but some sit out there at 300-400 yards and look at you. That is when I pull my .50 BMG out of my Concealled Carry holster tucked into my waistband and take care of them!!!
  16. The dents and marks do not bother me at all. I just wanted to know why it was happening. I really think my gas holes are not lined up, as I had to back out the screw 3 1/4 turns and others that I have talked to, have only had to back it out 1 1/2 turns? What do you guys think?
  17. The day before yesterday, I decided on what shotgun I wanted and it was the Remington 870 Tactical. I had everything lined up and $500.00 in my pocket and was going in yesterday after work to buy it. When I got to work, I picked up the local paper and took a look in the Classified section as I always do. There was a new add for a Remington 12 ga Tactical shotgun!!!??? I thought to myself, this could not be the same exact shotgun that I want. I was driving myself crazy waiting until 7am to call the number. I thought I should at least wait till 7am to let him wake up. Well, I called him and I was the first call of the day. He did not know much about it, but described it as what sounded like the same shotgun I wanted. I went to his house and low and behold, it was the same exact one, brand new, he only fired it 5 times. He threw in 4 boxes or shells(100 rnds) and I walked out the door. I got the shotgun and the 95 rounds, as he shot 5, for $250.00 bucks!!! Now, I am one happy camper!!!! Now of course I have to add all the little touches to it that I like from Brownells!!!
  18. That is a Sweet Rifle Jgun!!! I want to get one of those EOTech's for my shotgun I just got yesterday. It would make a wicked fast, close range, coyote buster!!!!
  19. All those look Great!
  20. I bought the handguard used, but the rail on the handguard is lower than the rail on the upper receiver.
  21. Ir says to start with backing out the screw 1 full turn, then back out 1 full turn till it fuctions properly. I only went 1/4 turn till it worked right. Maybe I do not have the gas block lined up with the hole in the barrel?
  22. I have that JPVTAC on my build, as you have seen. I must have the new upper receiver, as the rail that is mounted on top of the tube is just slightly lower than the rail on the upper receiver?
  23. I really like the way that 15.5" looks!!!
  24. Im shooting Federal Gold Medal Match 168grn. Everything else seems to be working good. I assume the gas block is aligned right, as it is functioning well? Has anyone ever used one of these JP Adj Gas Blocks? I had to back out the adjustment screw 3 1/4 turns for it to eject the spent brass.
  25. i think it is going out at a higher arc? It might be closer to 3:00 than 2:00 for the ejection point. But it is not going out as far as when I had a standard gas block on it?
