  6. These may not be news to many of our customers that have interacted with us directly over the years. Heretofore we kept a low profile on these policies but no longer :D 1. We've been giving military and LE discounts to active MIL, LE, firefighters and EMT personnel, this is no secret. What's little known is we've been giving the same discounts to RETIRED LE, MIL and firefighters as well. This has been one of the things we do quietly, as it's somewhat a hassle to verify, but it's time we make it public so more of our everyday heroes can benefit from it. For information on obtaining the discount code, simply email me at roger@battlearmsdevelopment.com It is our hope that more companies will follow our example. 2. Our unofficial warranty is unconditional, life time. It is now official, and it encompasses all of the products made by Battle Arms Development with a single exception: the 45 degree short throw selectors. The removal of the pin block has legal ramifications, so it has to be excluded from the unconditional warranty. Products not made by Battle Arms but sold by Battle Arms, such as Geissele and ALG triggers, KNS products, Norgon Ambi-Catch, etc., are covered under their respective manufacturers' warranty. That is all :)
  7. A quick update, the short crank levers are on the machines now, we should get them before the 7th mystery lever (short crank is the 8th), a little screwed up with the numbers it seems, but the 7th lever was conceived and drawn up before the short crank :cookoo: ;D
  8. We now carry ALG triggers :) They can be purchased separately, or as a trigger + selector bundle. ALG ACT bundle here ALG QMS here ;D
  9. skeeter, if you haven't already done so, please email me re: lever exchange so we can get the lever to you, thank you :)
  10. We do not recommend modification of our selector centers, they work with in spec triggers, and almost ALL third party triggers, therefore no fitting is ever necessary, or suggested. I have no problems with aftermarket triggers, they work better than factory triggers with hard military trigger pull, all of my ARs have Wilson, JP, and Geissele triggers. I only wish trigger manufacturers would try not to make their triggers so different as to cause tolerance stacking issues. By definition, any changes made to the trigger will render it "out of spec", also by definition, our selectors are also "out of spec" in that they do differ from factory selectors. What we take pains to do though, is to ensure critical dimensions STAY in spec. Tolerance stacking is not uncommon, we've made numerous changes to the selector center so it would be more tolerant. The most notable changes involve making the flat section wider to accommodate out of spec triggers when Geissele DMR or NM triggers (with very wide trigger tang) are in use, and reducing the center flat's diameter, to the point it is now out of spec, as milspec centers flat section diameter is larger.
  11. Lol, shooting customers = not good business practice <lmao> ;D
  12. Greg, you certainly do know enough, user knowledge is helpful, but products should be designed to work well with others. We've often made changes to accommodate products that don't adhere to specs, other manufacturers should pay heed to this as well :)
  13. Originally designed by Randy Cain of RD Precision for precision bolt rifles, the .308 and 6.8mm MRAD brakes also work on the AR system with 5/8 - 24 threaded barrels. As designed, they are meant to be installed by a competent gunsmith that will thread the customer's barrel for a precise fit, for ARs with existing threaded barrels, a shim kit may be required to eliminate the gap between the brake and shoulder of the muzzle (shim kit is an option when ordering the brake). The MRAD brake has a cross bolt on the bottom to allow easy indexing. The ports are canted toward the rear by 10 degrees, and they are also canted upward by 10 degree (port openings are wider on the bottom) [img width=810 height=607]http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i314/Duffypoo/001-2.jpg More pics on an AR10 [img width=810 height=595]http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i314/Duffypoo/AR15brakecloseup.jpg [img width=810 height=715]http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i314/Duffypoo/AR10brakefront.jpg [img width=810 height=387]http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i314/Duffypoo/Untitled2-4.jpg The MRAD brake is available on our site here :)
  14. Greg, it should be there today or tomorrow ;D
  15. Guys, I just got off the phone with Greg and want to share some info with you. We've put out a public announcement on major forums that the AR Gold trigger is one of the very few triggers that isn't compatible with our 45 degree selector. This is the first time I've heard of it causing problems with our 90 degree selectors. The problem we identified with the AR Gold trigger was the trigger's rear extension is too tall. The trigger's rear extension interfaces with the selector's middle, flat section. Our middle, flat section measures 0.240, a cast selector's mid flat section is about 0.230. The milspec is taller than both of these. We've reduced the center diameter couple of times to make it more compatible with aftermarket triggers that deviate from Colt specs, in the case of the AR Gold trigger, it's just too much. Below, left is my receiver with an RRA trigger, hammer uncocked. Right is Greg's receiver with AR Gold trigger, hammer uncocked, a picture is worth a thousand words.. The notion of having to file down on the trigger's rear extension...well I personally will not do it. I don't like the idea of modifying fire control group parts, it removes the heat treated surface, and should anything go wrong, you're responsible for it since you modified it. I've sent Greg a new selector center with 0.230 center diameter flat section, but I don't think it'll compensate for the trigger's super elevated rear extension :(
  16. Stolen from LaRue Tactical :p You can download yours here :)
  17. My fiancee's has had these from her grandparents, being I'm a history buff I asked for them, they were just sitting in a folder somewhere, think I'm going to frame them ;D [img width=810 height=600]http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i314/Duffypoo/V-JDay.jpg
