308reloaded

reading these post seems allot of us had same type dreams,, wanting a AR10 has been on my list for ever, I have been shooting 308, in bolt and semi auto for almost as long, have a century arms built FAL that was disappointing at best so I sold it and built my own, used inbel lower the rest were compliant parts, had the cemte and just could not make my self like it, gave it to a friend, building these 30 cal weapons on AR platform is so easy I dont understand why more people are not building them, plus its allot more cost effective. Iwill be applying for with SOT soon on FFL, Hope it will generate enough to subsidise my retirement. and If I dont make a profite I will save on parts, which will make me money.. I have allot of people here who want to bring firearms to me for work. but I can work on them abd charge until I get that pesky FFL

did search on 308 build. now i drift between here and AR15.com, it is amazing the accuracy you can get from this type of platform (AR) hoping the 308 will be able to shoot better than I can.

from photo it looks heavy and blocky , but you never know it, it may be a better mouse trap as looks can be deceiving. will it use standard AR parts?

I sold my fnfal to fund the build I am working on now. I have never seen a FAL that could shoot better than 2"MOA. I am new here also, have been offered use of tools, and the wealth of knowledge is great. I find my self here all hour of the day.

will rifle length ar gas tube fit rifle length on lr308?

is the gas tube on a LR-308 the same as on ar15, or bigger dia.

I never leave any thing with one in chamber, I do have loaded weapon somewhere close at all times. moss 500 12 ga. 2rnds, 5-shot, 2 rnds 000 buckshot, rest in slugs. i even load 22LR weapons with first 2 rounds birdshot. mostly not fatel but will stop attacker if sight is gone, and threat of shot in groin area stops just about everyone. . tell them you will shot them dead they dont care , tell them they will no longer have love life. they will stop.

I am looking at more long range shooting but there are no long range locations near, have to travel few countys away to get over 478 yds. thats what we have on private owned land. local club only has max of 200yds. up state to shoot long range. more 3 gun matches. I do not run due to knees but I still just for me, never won against anyone but myself.

I will not use this company again, this is tracking number # 9101128882300570596728 look at dates, told 3-4 days max before I would receive. I got my refund. I paid for a dpms claw and was sent block from brownells. are spec's diff.? bottom line is I don't like to wait when I paid not to. I build during cold months of the year, I shoot during the warm months of the year. wether it is just pl inking or shooting a 3 gun match. I figure I only have so much time to get something done on each project I start. I can still get this done in time. this is last build till I get my own machines. ( "don't quote me on that") at least that's the plan.
