  1. DRD, Before you buy you had best read the entire description of the upper and also the Note at the bottom of the page. Quote from Midway site: NOTE: This is the new Low Profile LR-308 Upper Receiver that measures 1/8" thick from the top of the receiver rail to the charging handle cut-out. Railed handguards must be specifically sized for the low profile upper for the two top rail sections to match up, otherwise the handguard top rail will be proud of the upper's top rail. Buy this upper and you just added more dollars to your build, because your handguard is now a specialty item. Just my 2¢....
  2. For anyone using the RCBS RC-IV press, you have got to be frustrated with how RCBS designed the primer catcher - Stupid..... I was so PO'd over their design, I had to once again, reinvent the wheel. My solution was to make a new primer catcher, that would not only catch each and every primer, but to also be able to do a thousand case lot without removing the primer bin. You can view a video of my latest creation here. Let me know your thoughts.....
  3. Thought this is what should have happened in Washington. Colorado residents, VOTE on September 10th, your future depends on it....
  4. Their prices are more than competitive. Glad to see they're not "price gouging" like some of the sellers out there....
  5. I like the new and modern look. Much easier for my old eyes to read..........
  6. That same company had one listed on Gunbroker and the bid was at $495.00 last night. Screw them is right.....
  7. Just some food for thought. If you install a Carbon Fiber hand guard it will be a one time shot, since they are glued in place. Should you want barrel work done down the road, you have to cut it off and start all over again. Just my 2¢
  8. I second the MechArmor "TacOps-1". Best charge handle I've used to date.........
  9. They're available, if you feel like getting raped.........
  10. If you read Armalite's Tech Note #73 and do the math, you'll see that the gas tube is exposed inside the receiver approximately 1". I have checked many AR10's and that is where they fall. At the risk of sounding like a know-it-all, that is why I asked the question I did, but Powerman only showed pictures of the gas block and the slight leakage, which means nothing whatsoever. Like I said, check the gas tube protrusion inside the receiver, that's what matters. Just my 2¢
  11. Powerman, Just for the heck of it, could you take a picture of the gas tube inside the receiver, now that it's fixed. From the picture you posted earlier, it appears as though your gas tube extends inside your receiver only about 5/8" when it should be closer to the 1" mark. If the gas tube doesn't extend far enough into the receiver it will cause a FTF scenario. I have had almost every gas block show signs of leakage, but the rifles still cycled and fed. Makes me wonder......
  12. ROFLMAO.......... <lmao>
  13. You can avoid rolling the scope by using either 2 screwdrivers or Allen wrenches simultaneously. Also, a drop (and I mean a drop) of red loctite on the bottom of the ring secures the scope solid, even from the recoil of the biggest and sharpest kicking magnums.
  14. I've got the Dillon 550 and a Rock Chucker Supreme. Both have their uses, and in my opinion, both are needed in the reloading room. Just my 2¢
  15. Seems like a lot of money unless you were selling scopes, pre-mounted in the rings. The method described below was what I was taught over 30 years ago by an old time smith: While holding the rifle by the barrel in the vise, Use a precision machinist level to level the rifle by the Picatinny rail (or lug raceways), then level the scope by the elevation adjustment knob. Have never had anyone complain of scopes being "canted", plus the level can be used for a multitude of tasks around the shop. Just my 2¢
