This kind of disappointing , wanted to see a barrel with a single groove in it. I don't believe it will work. If they are producing a poly grooved barrel that the rifling is pulled through with a single pass then they need to change the wording on their web site.

They are F*cking Beautiful ! Dane Armory had Quentin Defense make their lowers and I have a rifle made with that lower also. SunDevil makes a very high quality upper and lower set but they are always back ordered. They make sets for several other companies. Check their site if they have stock .... Buy immediately DO NOT hesitate ,just take the hit to your wallet and smile !

With that extra play in the sping to buffer area. The effect is the buffer bouncing ,which will destroy the end of the buffer where the weights slide on the inside of the buffer. By placing a few quarters at the back of the RE behind the spring it adds tension to spring and takes away slack of the mismatch or worn part. You will have to experiment with the amount of quarters needed.

Can you take a picture of the inside of the barrel ?

How long is the buffer ??? You state it is a DPMS rifle buffer. Measure and count coils on spring. Measure length of receiver extension (buffer tube)… This will give us a base for diagnosis.

I have two of their lowers ,so I am a customer. But I am not buying into this single groove bs.

I have two Quentin Defense lowers which I built guns on, the Kasey Kane #5 and the Kyle Busch #18 rifles. These used DPMS factory upper receivers and the fit is very good. Also bought a 6.8spc complete upper from them.

Let's asks Dan Wheldon what he thinks of single grooved race tracks ? Oh wait... We can't ! R.I.P.

A single groove doesn't throw a good spiral. A half a blade on a fan doesn't push much air. One blade doesn't push much water behind a boat. And you dont see Tom Brady throwing passes with one finger on the ball !

Fletch I am glad you got rid of that gun now ! I have a bad feeling it will self destruct in the not so near future ! Not a big deal to lose money on a gun. Now you can build one like you want it ! Good luck.

If its not broke, don't fix it. Try your new handguard setup before you change to the new gas block. If it works don't put the new gas block on.

What is the diameter of the gas block ? What is the inside diameter of your new handguard ?

That is one fine looking gun ,subtle not flashy !

Rule # 2 ...... Trust no one !!!!! Fire the gun before you modify it !!! Once you have shot it then , change the parts you do not like. Since your not planning to use a suppressor then there is no real need for an adjustable gas block. It should be used as a bandaid to fix issues. If your current works please do not change it unless the handguard does not fit. The best place for your fancy new adjustable gas block is in your spare parts box waiting for the next build ! As far as the air can test , SS and I have gone over this several times . please do a search in this forum.
