I have some eye issues and am looking for some glass to get me out there, ala 800 to 1000 yds. I have three optics choices in mind. Mark 4 8.5-25x50mm LR/T M5 Illum. Reticle or M1 Illlum. Reticle about 1500$ Trijicon TRTR23-2G AccuPoint 5-20x50 Riflescope Mil-Dot Crosshair about 12 to 1300$ I am absolutely set on an illuminated reticule because of my eyesight issues. Is the higher price point of the Leupold worth it? What is the brightness difference in the reticles? I like the fact that the Trijicon has no batteries. As far as a mount goes I am going with a larue either way. Any thoughts? I am torn here.

I am mainly lookin at building a poormans M110. I want to build a rifle that comes as close to the specs of the M110 as possible. Here are my thoughts. At the heart of the gun I am looking at a either a 18 or 21" Noveske barrell. I called Noveske and they said that I could send the barrell in to them to have it fluted. They said that they would do a 7 flute which in the techs opinion would shave 10 ounces off of the 18" without sacrificing accuracy or barrell life. I did not ask him weight difference on the 21" Fluted. As far as handguards I was looking at the either the JP VTAC or the Troy TRY Extreme. Any thoughts? I have a feeling that the TRX Extreme would be lighter. I would go with the PRS Stock MA10 Reciever coated in Nickel Boron Armalite Bolt coated in Nickel Boron BAD Ambi Selector SJC Titan or some ofther muzzle brake or compensator. RRA NM 2 stage coated in Nickel Boron. Troy Industries Ambi Mag Release. Troy Industries Ambi bolt release if it works or the Phase 5 EBR V2. I use the VTAC heavy sling and if I want to go two point I have the two point conversion toggle that works awesome.

What is nice about the impact pro sports is that it is not difficult to get to the battery slots on them not to mention that they fold down compactly as well as have great battery life.

My wife is also a nurse so I understand how much her hearing means to her. Especially when she has to do breath sounds and such.

My wife has very sensitive hearing and she and I both like the Howard Weight Impact Pro sport electronic hearing pro. My wife likes them because if she wants to she can use earplugs along with them and still be able to hear a conversation. One of the major things that I like is that they are low profile and therefore don't interfere as much with my cheek weld on my rifle.

I have my AR at a little over six pounds naked. I am shooting for an 18 inch 9lb rifle.

.308 was the outgrowth of my affection for the AR15. I got hooked on the AR platform because of the customization options available. Building is the fun part for me personally. I want to shoot longer ranges and the 5.56 just does not get out there.

I am looking at a Noveske Barell. I am needing an Armalite for use with it.

It works amazingly well in my AR15. I ran my AR 1000 rounds of XM193 without lube and I only stopped because I ran out of ammo. I am wanting to build a similar rifle in .308 except for the two stage trigger.

Is it worth the weight though? I am looking for a setup close to M110.

I am trying to decide between a 21" and an 18" Noveske Barell. Any thoughts? My goal is a precision rifle setup. Is the extra weight of the three inch difference worth it?
