It is inertia driven and made in the same plant as the Benellis. One difference I have noticed is the recoil spring is on the magazine tube on the Affinity. In comparison the recoil spring goes into the stock on my buddies SBEii. I cant wait to shoot this. I'm curious to know how Franchi's Twin shock absorber recoil pad compares with Benelli"s Comfortech.

This is not mine. I thieved the picture from the interwebs. I really want to build one similar to this. People on other forums have been saying there is a 3-4 month wait on the DDLES lowers, and that was before people started charging $350 for bolt carriers the buying craze. I bought a T1 Micro and a Trijicon rmr a couple months back, but i'm kicking myself for not getting on the waiting list for one of these.

I got one of these. I had 2 pmags of each color and 2 fnp90 mags on backorder. The only thing that is being shipped to me are the black M2 pmags. If you have an online account you can go to My Account>Order Management to see what they are shipping to you.

I've been browsing the FN Forum and it appears that another company is also making a lower for the scar 17. The guy making the new one also made an after market charging handle for the scar 17. This guy has not released very many details about his lower, but hinted that it will take sr-25 pmags and have better ambi controls. IIRC he did mention that it would be machined from 6061. Many people on the FN forum have claimed to have bad experiences with the Handl company. I don't have any experience with either company, but I think i'm going to wait until both lowers are released, so I can make an informed decision.

I think it is only good for the scar 17.

And maybe an non educating (reciprocating) bolt.
