  1. Those do look nice but for the price I would take a La Rue.
  2. What dollar amount you looking to spend? I an happy with my HK USP 45, Sig 226 40 and Springfield XD 40. 3 good gns at 3 different price points.
  3. I have bought from them twice before and I only have 1 problem with them. They are in Texas so I have to pay sales tax.
  4. Well it went out and rang steel at 500 before I ran out of time. Everything worked good.
  5. I posted this in general because there is not forum for the 30 Herrett Rimless Tactical in the 30 cal AR15 section. I took my new 12" 30HRT out today. Here is a 100 yard target with 4 power scope off of a bench. I was impressed for it being 150 fmj loaded over 24 grains of 2200. I am going out tomorrow with 3 bullets. 150 spire points, 155 SMK and 155 A max.
  6. It would be neat to see that in person, the pistol and the Jello banging.
  7. 308 MFR can be tightened with a standard AR barrel wrench.
  8. 10.5" 458SOCOM barrel should be here Friday.
  9. Making different colors is not hard or costly. They just dump in the plastic pellets that they use for their other products. The only extra cost would be for the bar coded lable to go on the plastic bag their mags come it. I wish they would come out with an Ipad case like their phone cases. Now that would cost them money.
  10. Berrys 350 plated for plinking. Barnes 300gr for hunting and then big 500 gr just because I can. I think a cinder block has a better BC but who gives a $hit it is 500 grains!
  11. Brass gothere today and man that sure is a big bullet next to a 556.
  12. I will when I get it done. I am still in the process of buying parts. I ordered the brass now because EVERYONE is out of it. Only 1 company makes brass and they will not be making another run till the end of March.
  13. I have 200pc of 458 SOCOM brass coming.
  14. Like a .458 SOCOM or a shotgun under an AR or a pistol that folds into a box? ;D
  15. Mailed Lothar-Walther a check last Thursday and my new 308 barrel showed up today.
  16. I want to do a 45ACP like that but I wish the mags were shorter. When I had my 12" 30 HRT barrel made. I had a .875" gasblock at carbine length but then had a .750 spot done at the mid length area so I could add the front sight if I wanted too.
  17. I used the MIAD and used a dremel to create a pocket to hold the spring in place.
  18. It is one of their barrels. For the gasblock I will order a Troy, I have used them on 4 other builds and like them. I have a 13.8" Troy Quad rail that tracking shows will be here tomorrow.
  19. I told Walther I had a DPMS carrier and the said they are also including a bolt for the barrel that will work with my carrier.
  20. I am building up an Iron Ridge uppe DPMS style. I called and talked to Walther about a barrel. I was all set on a custom super heavy. They said a lighter barrel would be fine and they have some in stock. The stock ones use Armalite gas system. He said I would need a different gas tube than my standard AR tube. I looked online and found them. My question is are the gasblocks the same? I have built several ar15 but this is my first big gun.
  21. Walther is doing barrels with a bolt for $485 right now. I talked to them on the phone last week.
  22. Thanks Shop.
  23. Troy 13.8" black 308 rail, Iron Ridge Upper, Leupold 1.25-4 VXR Pig Plex, Larue 104 30mm mount, assorted upper parts to complete the 308 upper. Do not worry the VXRis not going on my 308. I also am still watching the mail for my SBR tax stamp to show up.
  24. I am putting together a DPMS BCG for my new build. How tight do I tighten the screws before pinging them in place?
