  1. so i did the PB blaster, gave one good try and my muthaFin BCM upper receiver cracked on the stand at the ejection port :wtf: :puke: :limp-wrist:
  2. I am trying to change my barrel on my ar15. I cant get the freaking barrel nut loose, any tricks?
  3. I just finished my rifle on Sat. If I had all the parts at one time it could have easily been assembled in about an hour. The armorers wrench is the only ar specific tool I have currently(also have punches, files, and other misc gun tools). The longest part was definitely putting in the gas block roll pin. >:( As Terry said, it is just assembly. I purchased everything I wanted for it and would not have been able to purchase a rifle from a factory with the exact same parts and specs, which makes it special and mine. The best part today was showing a lady friend of mine my new rifle, she asked did you buy it, I said " no I built it." She then proceeded to give me the "man you are freakin sexy" look and smiled :bj: <hump>
  4. cool, thank you for the info, soaked it down, gonna go run it tomorrow.I bought some factory new ammo today. So it ready to go, short of the muzzle device...
  5. i figured that it needs to be shot some, cause i lubed it up and hand cycled about 20 times, i did notice a slight improvement. so hopefully some shooting will loosen thumper up
  6. One more thing...Larue Tactical made it seem like the surefrie 762 brake was in stock, so i ordered it and 2 hours later...Its on backorder with 7-10 day lead time WTF
  7. Bambi and Thmper are down here in Florida at the local strip club... Also anyone have an idea about the charging handle issue i have, we seemed t have lost focus, haha
  8. yes thumper is a fuzzy rabbit, but remember Bambi got shot too... :sniper:
  9. ok she is all assembled, just missing the muzzle device, which will be this week i hope. I have one issue, the charging handle is super stuck and tight when pulling it out of the locked position, once i break it loose she moves freely, but when i let the bolt carrier snap shut, as i would on a round, she is tight and all locked up again. what could remedy this? Also the charging handle is a BCM gunfighter. I will post pics tomorrow of "Thumper"
  10. i had seen that Larue has the surefire brake in so on monday its gonna be ordered
  11. spoke to brownells today and they had no release date for TM uppers as of yet
  12. well things have been good the last day or 2,just got tax money back today(shhhh, i know its august, dont ask)... so today i ordered, a dpms upper, rainier arms 16" barrel, troy trx 308 12" rail, troy sights, and rainier gas block ,all these are on the way. now i just have to find the surefire 7.62 muzzle break in stock somewhere, and then down the road decide on an optic. I will post pics as parts arrive.
  13. I just spoke with TM about their uppers being out of stock, they said it would be a few months before they will be available but that Brownells just ordered 50 upper receivers 2 weeks ago, so we will see. I am waiting for a TM 308 upper to match my lower, that would be swell...BOOM...PING!
  14. thanks guys, yes the P-mag fits nice in the lower, i hopefully will have the upper done in the next few weeks, will keep every one posted...BOOM...PING!
  15. I agree, this will be my first 308(2nd ar platform) cant wait to shoot it
  16. Great looking rifle sir, I love Magpul, wish i could have their babies...
  17. TM Machine lower which came with A2 stock, and standard pistol grip. Now has Magpul Miad grip, CTR stock, Mil-spec buffer tube, Magpul ASAP sling mount,Heavybuffers.com buffer and spring enroute, 7.62 P-Mag for good measure
  18. i have owned my current ar15 for about 3 months now, it is my first one ever(the extreme brokeness begins) and i enjoy it very much. i happened to come across the complete tm machine lower on the local guntrader forum and it was a good deal. i hope to get this thing built in the next few months, the cool part is i have never fired a 308 or a 308 ar, so the first range day with my soon to be complete 308 long range lead delivery steel sledgehammer system will be kick ass...BOOM...PING!
  19. makes sense to me, florida is pretty nice too, especially in January.
  20. my dad is 53,sounds like his life too. I have definitely heard of So. Chicago ,Bowen, and Hegwich. Most of my family is farther south in Illinois now(Manteno, Crete, Joliet area.)My grandfather owns "Johnny's Body Shop" in Tinley Park, and my uncle Ken Ray works for Sun Steel(unless they changed names) and my late grandfather used to work for Allis Chalmers. I love the city of Chicago, unfortunately their gun laws are atrocious :)
  21. sweet, thanks.
  22. my dad grew up on 95th street in the east side, man i miss the pizza and hot dogs...:)
  23. who makes 14.5" 308 barrels?
  24. also tm machine's website say uppers are out of stock, are there any other tm dealer/retailers. also the complete dpms upper at brownells for $185 is that the high profile or low profile (for rail selection)?
  25. i am in hudson north of tampa but i was born in chicago and have family south of indianapolis
