Herea something sad... the shop owner next to my moms work has an original 66 with a 427 and a stick. Been sitting for 30 years in doors. He gave it to his son for graduation (surprised he graduated) and was worthless burnout from what i remember. Few years after college i asked about the car and he had totaled it within a few months.... im still crushed.

Im a ford guy but a sucker for old a-body's but IIRC they did take money in the bailout but it was much smaller amount and was paid back quickly. I believe they had to take one for the GOV to avert future suits claiming favoritism

Touché. Yeah i was happy. At first when shooting the mvp i was a bit discouraged bc they too were all over then got nice and tight. I was like wtf. Then thought about it and did that experiment with the 308. Im gonna be a cool guy and take a couple bottle heaters from my racecar to strap to the barrel for winter shooting. Lol kidding. But seriously....

Went out this morning to get some practice in wile shooting with gloves. Bout 33 out with a 5-10 mph wind. Took a few rifles and pistols out. The mvp shot alright and then the 308 made me happy. Been having FTE/ejector issues causing double feeds since i built it. I always just single loaded till today. I bit into and bought the BCM upgrade spring with o-ring and plunger. Boy i cant tell you how nice it is to have a 100% rifle. I shot the lower group with my reloads on a cold bore. Went to another target and popped off 20 rds of ppu to warm it up some. Then it did this. Couldnt be more happy. Both are 5 shot groups. Then i made an acceptable group with the big boomer just for fun. I love me sum 7mm RemMag. It even started digging a hole under the muzzle. All shooting was from prone. Im a happy camper.

Thanks, i still wanted it to look used and not brand new so it has some character. The flat stain and clear came out good. Not all shiney and new like my Negant. I forgot the wonderful fireball that cut down barrel produced. Waited till dark and had a light show. I missed shooting this rifle. Its alot like a 22; you forget how fun it is when you dont get it out of the safe now and then.

Well i finally had the opportunity and maturity to turn my sks back to stockish; a way i have never seen it. When i bought it it was like dis. And when I found out i was moving to cali i decided to put a fixed stock on it and went full bubba on it. Like dis. And last weekend I was at the range when i noticed a guy shooting a beat up sks and everything else was tacticooled out so i saw my chance. Traded and installed my stock for his '52 stock (mine is '53). Now ive workd on it and after quite a bit of work and some stain, ive now got what i want.

Hole saw, epoxy and a fleshlight in that order too? Splurge a little. Its black Friday

? Ive got the same barrel and use a std length tube. Is this a known issue with that barrel?

I built mine right during the rush and everyone was selling at outrageous prices so buying the high quality stuff was a no brainer especially bc they were in stock. Cheaper than what the opportunists were selling their base items.
