The development of the little M1 carbine by "Carbine" Williams which allows semi-automatic action. with a relatively low power cartridge in a carbine because of a"floating chamber" was a real advantage for me. My first semi auto .22 rimfire Remington model 550-I rifle that shoots.22 shorts, long, and long rifle ammo interchangeably. It was the only rifle I owned from when I was 11 years old until I was 18. BTY I still have the well worn rifle it is 69 years old this Christmas.

Got my Christmas present delivered by RFD. My new Crimson Grip green laser grips for the 70 Series Govt. model 1911 45ACP. Next thing I need is the 2 wheel dolly to attach to carry that piece of blued steel around with. Well it ain't so bad really, I keep it in the house mostly to greet uninvited guests with at night or day. Reminds me of the bear that had it's front paws burned when the guy shined the laser sight in his eyes on the .44 Magnum S&W. (burn was not from the laser but the flash burn from the round).

I have three of these Bushnell 4.5x18 BDC scopes one .223 and 2 .308 bought the first at Local gun shop put it on my.223 Mini-14 that is a stainless steel finish with a old Redfield 4 power scope. I liked the BDC so I bought two.308 BCD scopes one on the DPMS and one for the NM M1A. So far I have barely got the.308s zeroed in at 200 yards but they seem adequate for my purposes I am getting recovered from the broken hip but it is still difficult getting back to handle range work.

I had the video camera set up and had 3/4 of the whole canned chicken eaten when the phone rang and a Englishman offered me a fortune in Nigerian gold stock for a pittance when the wife's Chihuahua knocked the camcorder off broke it and pulled the left drumstick off in the floor and scarfed it up. The chicken cost $24.95 (shipping free) from Amazon and I can't afford to buy another one. By the way I think the English center of uranus is a scam artist. The canned chicken isn't bad, it is way better than the C rations tuna and noodles we had in the 5th Marines at Gitmo back in'62. You guys at 308AR seem like a bunch of pussies to me...
