  1. I got a case of Federal Gold 168 gr Sierra match king ammo.
  2. Thats what I was referring to.
  3. Scary. Great post though.
  4. I tried a lot of their ammo in my lr 308 and it was shooting 10" groups at 100 yards. Compared to mil surplus shooting 2"-3" groups and norma match 1" groups. I tried freedom munitions 308 155 gr, 165 gr, 175 gr hpbt and 168 gr amax. none of it would group well.
  5. I had the same issue with mine recently. I contacted the manufacturer and they replaced the barrel. I would contact them and see what they are willing to do.
  6. Thats was the problem I didn't crank down on it hard at all.
  7. There was no thread locking compound on the muzzle brake. I installed it originally. I contacted aim and they put me in touch with Mime Lammers at LOSOK and he took care of it. I am very happy with the customer service Mark Lammers provided me with. He replaced my barrel.
  8. I just recently built my first 308 ar earlier this year and after putting 500 rounds down the barrel I had, an issue with the gas block sliding forward slightly. I fixed that issue and decided to take the muzzle brake off and replace it with a flash hider and whe i went to remove it the barrel rotated with it. I then proceeded to remove the handguard and found that my barrel was threading out of my barrel extension. I have never encountered this before and I always thought the extension was pinned and welded to the barrel. I bout the barrel about a year ago from aims surplus and it is a LOSOK barrel. What should I do about this?

    Primers

I have been looking online and I am not finding the information I need so I thought I would ask here. What I was wanting to know what primers would be recommended for loading for an Lr-308 style rifle. I have heard that slam fire could be an issue. On an ar15 I was recommended to use a cci 450 due to it having a thicker cup than the 400, but what I have found online the 200 and 250s have the same cup thickness. I don't want to go with the #34 primers because they produce less accuracy and they are more difficult to find locally.
  10. I bought a Supercomp Talon muzzlebrake.
  11. I dont trust their prints. I bought a lower print and there were some differences between it an the lr308 along with a lot of missing dimensions.
  12. I just shot mine for the first time with the aims bcg. it ran smooth without any malfunctions, my only concern is that after 20 rounds it bare metal is already show on the wear points. is that normal?
  13. Im new to the 308 ar scene. I have built plenty of Ar-15s though. I recently assembled my ar 308 with a 7.62x51 chambered barrel. The barrel and bcg both came from aims surplus. Now that i have it assembled i needto headspace it. what I was wondering is what gaugesI would need for that? And what issues has anyone had with a 7.62 barrel?
  14. I installed my Odin works handguard an a torque wrench worked fine.
  15. I just got my Nitrided aims bcg in the mail yesterday. My first impression is that it is really nice. The finish is much smoother that any phosphated bcg ive had. There is no machine marks that I can see either. The only thing so far I dont like is one of the locking lugs on the bolt has a small patch of bare metal like it may have been used or dropped. Other than that I am happy with it so far.
