  1. We suffer the same issues from the antis up here but without the benefit of the 2nd Amendment.
  2. It's funny that when the antis use the word compromise it always seems to end resulting in gun owners giving something up but they never seem to give up anything in return. The cake and compromise analogy illustrates this nicely https://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/2013/11/08/cake-and-compromise-illustrated-guide-to-gun-control/
  3. The laws here are poorly written as one expects when laws written by those with no knowledge of the topic. This has also left a few tiny cracks which manufacturers up here are using(hence my purchase of the above items. Wiki -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Canada Random highlights- Firearms here are a federal jurisdiction 3 classes a)non restricted-mostly rifles&shotgun,no registration, walk in show card pay money walk out with gun b)restricted-all handguns and firearms listed by name, registration required, only used at a accredited range. c) full auto, firearms listed by name and parts listed by name no longer issued except for highly restricted inheritance condition So an FN-FAL is prohibited by name,an AR is restricted by name(but no SBR rules) and a XCR is non restricted. Yea doesn't make sense to me either. Bulpup stock/conversion is prohibited but a factory bulpup is fine. Mare's Leg in Canada is considered a non-restricted rifle,a 12ga pump with a 8.5inch barrel is non restricted(as long as it's a factory barrel not a hacksaw job). Replica firearms are prohibited but the actual original firearm rendered properly inert. .32ACP handguns are prohibited by caliber(common caliber for cheap pistols criminals used ) yet the .32 CZ Skorpion (semi auto) is classed as a carbine and legal. We can mail firearms/ammo directly to purchaser/friend(no FFL type requirements) That being said I have a FFL dealer that allows me to buy in the USA and export to Canada We did make some progress with the previous Conservative government but the new libtard government is setting up to screw us over and making points with the un is just icing on the cake for them. Up here we share many of the same issues when it comes to a biased media If there is some thing more specific just ask. Ironically if I moved to the USA,I'd have to leave about a third behind, wore if I move to California.
  4. Well this one was to be here end of Feb, a Canadian 308 non restricted rifle(means I can take it into the bush ,no registration) Another Canadian upper/lower(just new) that gets around the whole AR restricted classification but every other part can be utilized of an AR 15,there is talk of a 308 version. Likely get here in May Recently approved for import into Canada also likely arriving in May M17 sc308
  5. Unfortunately the front pin on the LE901 in a different location to allow the use of the 5.56 adapter. None of the available 308 uppers(to the best of my knowledge) fit. The other issue is the 308 carrier shaped differently with the back been smaller(same dia. as 5.56 carrier) If you look at the picture the top upper is the 308,observe the location of the front pin. Below is a DPMS 308 upper for comperison
  6. So the back story is I had adapters on the presses to utilize the same bolt pattern as my bench vise. Of course this creates a potential obstruction for other projects and not wanting to inadvertently damage a press, there was a constant install/uninstall. The original plan was a solid shelf that I could mount a press and leave it set up for a period of time. A bit of seeing what others had out there resulted in the picture below. Basic stats- 7Ft x 2Ft with parallel T-track the full length.,the top is 1.5" maple plywood.Another plus is along with my reload stuff I have related tools and cleaning gear all in one place. It no longer looks this uncluttered...
  7. I picked up the 901 lower and looking to find the 308 upper to go with it. Currently I run a Colt Canada SAS 15.7in IUR 5.56mm upper and it works great. A bit heavier then my other AR-15 lowers but I like the look with the SAS upper. I can't speak to the upper but the lower is well built and nicely finished. FYI most are ambidextrous, but a few are not such as mine so if this is a feature you want/need check prior to purchase.
  8. It's a going to be a good week... Order #1 1943 Mosin sniper rifle and Russian TT33 pistol and two SKS rifles Order#2 Browning Buckmark rifle, walnut stock and heavy barrel. One of the rare pluses in Canadian firearms law is that I get this stuff mailed directly to my house
  9. Seems to be the answer for the guy that only want one rifle...with this one purchase you get a hunting rifle,a cowboy gun and tacticool gun all in one single convenient package. I wonder if it's California compliant?
  10. http://m14.ca/ Scroll down to bottom third for the reference section-manuals,blueprints,tutorials etc.
  11. It's being considered and I'm taking notes on the gun friendliest states then seeing work picture.
  12. The problem up here is we don't have the system of checks and balances the USA has. Add to that that only the people in his riding vote for him,all I can do is vote against his party's representative. With the multi party system his party runs things with only 39.5% of the popular vote.Add in his love for the UN and being a globalist things aren't looking good politically here.
  13. I know more than I want to and you sir are being far too kind where turdu is concerned. It seems they are pining it on one guy(white French Canadian) ,Alexandre Bissonnette, the 27-year-old man accused of opening fire on a Quebec City mosque, has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted murder
  14. Just ordered a surplus IDF M14 Sniper rifle parts kit only thing missing is the receiver...just have to decide which of my stripped receivers will be used and decide on optics.
  15. Walk softly and carry a big stick- T. Roosevelt
  16. It's a bit like a clogged toilet, the crap is going to build, overflow, spill over and gravity does the rest...need to add a wall at the border
  17. I haven't fired/handled the 10mm but do have the X-Trim in 9mm and it's a well built,accurate(more than me) and a easy/fun to shoot.
  18. Unless you have no other choice I'd avoid a 3 in 1 machine. Check out cncguns.com , also if you have CNC capability then you can start with a 0% lower
  19. I'd love to add a Tormach to the workshop but exchange rate kicking my ass right now. Check out NYC CNC on youtube, tormach guy and machines firearms related stuff
  20. What's even funnier is they are being directed to Winnipeg which is known for two things cold and mosquitos. It's so cold in Saskatchewan all exotic dancershave been strongly advised to pre-warm their poles. If that's where the HRC refugees choose to settle I'm OK with that
