It occurred to me today that I no longer have the eyes to transition from rifle to pistol without changing glasses. Glasses are new to me so kinda upset glasses are required now, but now not sure what to do about this problem. Only thing I can come up with is a red dot on the pistol or rifle and pistol. so with this said surely someone has faced this already, what do I do?

How big is your ultrasonic cleaner and what type? I’m looking for suggestions that won’t break the bank lol

I’ve read warning that the wrong chemicals and the heat was bad for the metal finish. Not sure what the chemicals were. I was going to use simple green heard it’s works well.

Yes I think they JB weld the transducers to the tub. I’d really like to see it if you build one, I’ve given a lot of thought to building one that could hold an upper. Always end up getting busy on other projects and forget till cleaning time again.

Has anyone used a sonic cleaner on the BCG and does it clean the fouling up from inside or behind the bold?

I clean mine after every firing no matter how many rounds I fire. last trip I only shot 14 rounds but it got a complete cleaning after. just my two cents

I definitely get the 308 inside issue, and the truck Gun. My 556 is for my house and the Grendel would be the truck gun if I had more ammo for it lol. Dang thing is always hungry and that’s expensive. My AR308 for now is my grab and go and I hope it’s never needed.

Curious at what distance did you sight your AR308 in? In the past I’ve gone with the 50 - 200 yard concept. Meaning sight in at 50 and your still on at 200. Doe’s this still apply to the 308?

I’m wondering if your AR308/AR10 your go to rifle? The more I shoot this rifle the more I like it and starting to think it could be the one I reach for. it’s big and heavy but with a lot of thump that I like. My only issue is she’s a hungry beast lol. Time to stock pile some ammo.

Update did some gas chamber work on it this last week and took it out yesterday. It did great after a couple turns on the gas block, including locking back. I want to thank all who gave input And guidance. It is greatly appreciated

The other option is find a lighter scope or get stronger for me lol

Im looking into carbon fiber hand guards but the prices are in real.

I’ve intended the same hunting for this one. Still trying to fig out how to lighten it up. A 25 round mag is about 3 lbs so this one is right at 10+- as well.

Loaded mag 13-14 pounds. Def a heavy gal with a lot of thump.

Looking at the gas port 1/16 to small 5/64 is to large so I’d say it’s .0730. What size should it be for proper operation?

So if there’s not enough gas and I put a heavier buffer and spring in it, won’t it short stroke?
