So I get the new tube and slip it into place. The tube extends about half way across the notch in the upper so that’s about right , but touches the barrel nut. getting frustrated now

I figure the 11.75 will work fine. I ordered one last night

It extends past the cut out.

Working on my build and time to install the gas block and tube. Put everything in place tried the charging handle and bcg and Houston we have a problem!!! BCG won’t go into battery and long story short pulled the gas block and tube, bcg locked right up. My conclusion the 121/8 gas tube is to long for my set up probably need an 11.75 AR15 gas tube.

I’m definitely going to try it before I make a decision on it. It seem heavy and bulky compared to what I’m use to. thanks for the instructions to remove it got some strong springs lol

Put this but stock on my lower build but the jury is out if I like it. If I want to take it back anyone know or have an easy way to remove it?

Working on my first AR308 lower on this fine Father’s Day, and noticed the mag catch doesn’t seem to thread into the button very far. I’m using an Aero M5 parts kit on an Aero lower. I usually thread the catch in flush with the button. it does seem to work fine when I put a mag in just wondering if I have an AR15 mag catch.

Not sure I’d like the backwards set up, sounds awkward from what I’m use to

This is the first action rod I’ve tried, I still use the old military style fixtures for my AR builds but this 308 is to big for it

Ended up getting a wheeler at a good price.

I’m looking for suggestions on a cheap 30 cal action rod. i spent most of my Gun funds on parts for this build so short on funds for tools at this point

A ya I’ll stick with my boom stick. I have compounds know how to use them but strings break and stuff happens with bows as well. Unless you’ve mastered making a recurve, string, and arrow. not bad skills in my book

Most of my travels is vehicle or horse back, should be good with that.

I was just curious about how many would go to the Ar10 or AR308. I know there not the lightest rifle out there but sure hit hard and a gas gun.

I reload as well but components are still scarce so gotta buy it when I can find it.
