Something is not right here. Regardless of the GB you should not have to trim the gas tube. I fear your addressing the symptom rather than the root cause. Trimming the gas tube can affect the ability of the gas tube to seal with the gas key. Tread carefully

Well I didn't realize the JP trigger did not come with a hammer. I guess Ill order the JP speed hammer come payday. My FDE 300 AAC Blackout build didnt look right with black mags so I ordered an FDE PMAG with Maglevel. I also ordered a 32 round Colt 9mm AR-15 magazine. Those bastards are expensive at $60 each.

Based on your pictures you look ok to me. Once you pin the gas tube to the block do a dry run to verify 100%. Once complete it my not hurt to color in the end of the gas tube with a black marker to see how it's hitting the gas key on the carrier. Sometimes you need to tweak the tube to avoid wear. This applies to all builds

Thats a proprietary barrel nut so it's not typical. Your job is a bit easier because of it . I have pictures here of a nut that requires alignment
