Just to add an FYI, there is a consensus among some manufacturers and builders that the 308 has overly abundant energy to cycle the action and any situation that prevents the bcg from going completely forward and locking points to a possible serious malfunction with the weapon. Forcing the carrier can lead to a dangerous situation due to the pressures involved.

Talk to a local dealer before you do anything. You might purchase something no dealer will transfer. Your laws are as nutty as ours in CT

Man I hate the not knowing the status. July 16 I ordered an AAC TI-Rant 45, AAC 762-SDN-6 and a Silencerco Sparrow from Major Malfunction. At the time of ordering he stated it woud be about two weeks for the approval for transfer to my local class three dealer. Right after I placed my order MM headed out for a few weeks of training so there's no replies from him as of yet. I figure I will keep track of the progress here for all to see.

DPMS has changed the rail height three times. There's a thread or two here somewhere with measurements

ahhh..it also might be the new DPMS rail height issue. Might fit but they will be different heights. I need to ponder a bit.

you are correct. I actually use those special CCW shirts. Combined with my fat I can conceal a rocket launcher and maybe Rosie ODonnel.

I did a custom search here at Brownells for you. I believe many of the results are relevant (some arent). Basically there is several railed models that install just like A2 handguards

This thing is as concealable as a rocket launcher <laughs>

Nice. I mess with various mounts. I seem to gravitate back to the Larue. The Bobro are pretty cool, especially that you dont see the screws in the rings. Someone on another thread suggested the GG&G. They make a rugged mount too.

Pretty much bought this without ever seeing one in person. Kind of ugly and blocky but feels great in the hand. Im not sure I get the slide release though. Difficult for me to actuate. I dunno maybe Im just used to the location of a 1911. Anyhow I cant wait to shoot this thing Friday. Pictures soon.
