  1. Good point. I actually do belong and have accounts at a local credit union. I just havent used them much because they were not convenient. But today with everything electronic location doesnt matter. Thanks!!
  2. Not sure if I mentioned elsewhere but the Friday after Thanksgiving my checking account got hit with a bunch of bad charges. Nothing bigger than $100 but there was enough of them to leave me with almost no money. At first I was pleased with BOFA's response but that has since changed. They initially gave me a few temporary credits of the lowest charges and said I need to sign some affidavits vie snail mail. No big deal everything should be cleared up in 10 days. Well everything seemed ok then next payday after my direct deposit cleared there were more charges same as the first wave $89.95 to Acai Nutri. Pissed I called the bank and said how could this happen? I dont even have my new debit card yet. They tell me these charges were in limbo from the old card and theres nothing BOFA could do to prevent this and they could see more charges are coming and can do nothing to stop them. So this scenario is still playing out. I have only managed to get about $100 back so far. They have only sent me two affidavits to date. Both of which they keep telling me they never received via an automatic voice mail and this can imply that their findings will find me guilty. The people are now getting rude telling me i should just let the system do its job and thank you for being a customer since 1997. The claims people also suggest that someone in my house was perhaps making the charges. That really sent me over the edge. First off I live alone except for the cats and the card never leaves my possession. Secondly I googled the companies that are charging my card. There's 1000's of complaints so there's an obvious pattern. You would think there would be an automatic red flag in the banks software. I have also decided if their investigation finds it's something from a vendor I deal with they will be glad to tell me. If they dont tell me anything other than I have done nothing wrong I believe the hole in security is the bank itself. Im done. Im going back to the local bank. The one who had my personal information stolen from a bigger bank they dealt with a few years ago.
  3. Check it out here Gun Oil - the premium, condom-safe lubricant that keeps a man's most important weapon well oiled. If the military issued a lube, this is what they'd distribute with the condoms and artillery. During Operation Desert Storm, Marines jacked off with actual military-issue gun oil while hunkered down in the trenches of Kuwaiti battlefields. A group of those marines has developed a high-tech, condom-safe formula for smooth, rapid-fire action. This silicone-based lube keeps a Private's parts well-lubricated with added Vitamin E and Aloe Vera for longer lasting, slicker ride and minimized skin irritation. The ultra-concentrated formula is designed to out-perform comparable top-shelf products - a few drops lubricate thoroughly without breaking down or drying out.
  4. Ive done some of my own stuff. Had barrels done by Bo-Mar a few times. The most work I had done out was the Gold Cups Accu-Rails. The guy who did the job did it poorly. Fortunately Krieger himself took the gun in, corrected the rail installation and did some other things. A few months ago I got to photograph a bunch of 1911 from Ted Yost and the team he works with. The work done by those guys is beyond belief.
  5. Yep Merry Christmas Guys <thumbsup>

  7. A man given seven years in prison after being found with two guns he purchased legally in Colorado has had his sentence commuted, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced Monday. The case of Brian Aitken, 27, had become a cause célèbre among gun-rights advocates. On Jan. 2, 2009, Aitken, an entrepreneur and media consultant with no prior criminal record, muttered to his mother that life wasn’t worth living after a planned visit with son was abruptly canceled at the last minute. Aitken then left his mother’s home in Mount Laurel as she called police, who later found two locked and unloaded handguns in the trunk of his car. Aitken had purchased the guns legally in Colorado, and he passed an FBI background check when he bought them, according to his father, Larry Aitken. Brian also contacted New Jersey State Police before moving back back to the Garden State to discuss how to properly transport his weapons. But despite those good-faith efforts, Larry Aitken said, Brian was convicted on weapons charges and sent to prison in August. Judge James Morley would not allow the argument in trial earlier this year and Christie later declined to reappoint the judge due to an unrelated case.

  21. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is moving to require federally licensed firearms retailers to report multiple sales of modern sporting rifles beginning January 5, 2011. Specifically, the ATF requirement calls for firearms retailers to report multiple sales, or other dispositions, of two or more .22 caliber or larger semi-automatic rifles that are capable of accepting a detachable magazine and are purchased by the same individual within five consecutive business days. Today’s Washington Post suggests that the reporting mandate would be limited to retailers along the Southwest border; however, the Federal Register Notice does not limit the geographic scope of the reporting requirement. This ATF “emergency” mandate was originally pushed by the anti-gun Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) coalition, headed by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, more than a year and a half ago. And the Post reports that the Department of Justice has “languished” over this plan for several months. Given this timetable, it’s hard to see exactly where the “emergency” is. The National Shooting Sports Foundation opposes this reporting requirement because it further burdens America’s law-abiding firearms retailers with yet another onerous regulation that will do nothing to curb crime. Multiple sales reporting of long guns will actually make it more difficult for licensed retailers to help law enforcement as traffickers modify their illegal schemes to circumvent the reporting requirement, thereby driving traffickers further underground. This is not unlike how criminals maneuvered around one-gun-a-month laws in states like Virginia – which is still considered an “exporting source state” by anti-gun organizations like the MAIG despite its restrictions on the number of firearms law-abiding residents may purchase. Multiple sales reporting for long guns is an ill-considered mandate and one that ATF does not have the legal authority to unilaterally impose. In fact, ATF has not specified under what legal authority it presumes to act. The decision as to whether ATF can move forward with this agenda-driven mandate will be left to Cass Sunstein who heads the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA). This is the same Cass Sunstein who in a 2007 speech at Harvard University said, “We ought to ban hunting, if there isn’t a purpose other than sport and fun. That should be against the law. It’s time now.” NSSF will be submitting comments in opposition to this registration scheme and is encouraging all firearms retailers, sportsmen and enthusiasts to do the same. Please voice your concern by doing the following: 1. Call the Office of Management and Budget, Office of Information and Regulation Affairs, Department of Justice, Desk Officer at (202) 395-6466. 2. E-mail Barbara A. Terrell, ATF, Firearms Industry Programs Branch at Barbara.Terrell@atf.gov 3. Call your Senators and Representative: United States Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121 Points to make: [list type=decimal] [*]Multiple sales reporting of long guns will actually make it more difficult for licensed retailers to help law enforcement as traffickers modify their illegal schemes to circumvent the reporting requirement. Traffickers will go further underground, hiring more people to buy their firearms. This will make it much harder for retailers to identify and report suspicious behavior to law enforcement. [*]Long guns are rarely used in crime (Bureau of Justice Statistics). [*]Imposing multiple sales-reporting requirements for long guns would further add to the already extensive paperwork and record-keeping requirements burdening America’s retailers – where a single mistake could cost them their license and even land them in jail. [*]Last year, ATF inspected 2,000 retailers in border states and only two licenses were revoked (0.1%). These revocations were for reasons unknown and could have had nothing to do with illicit trafficking of guns; furthermore, no dealers were charged with any criminal wrongdoing. [*]According to ATF, the average age of a firearm recovered in the United States is 11 years old. In Mexico it’s more than 14 years old. This demonstrates that criminals are not using new guns bought from retailers in the states. [*]Congress, when it enacted multiple sales reporting for handguns, could have required multiple sales of long guns – it specifically chose not to.
