    That sounds great!
  2. I love road and mountain biking. I try to do it often.
  3. I think the thing that amazes me the most is disagreeing with me on something i designed and built with my own hands. Nobody has a clue how it works. If they tried to replicate them it would be comical from a programming stand point. My bitching aside there were other rejections caused by people we should never have hired in the first place. I repeatedly voiced my opinion publicly about one of these people. That was last winter.
  4. ding ding ding we have a winner!
  5. Actually I like the idea of pistol caliber lever actions. Well I like 444's, 45-70 etc too :) It's all good man at least one of everything.
  6. only a few more weeks and im limited to nerf guns
  7. nah it's a math issue. We can see it in the software. It's been there through three machines with the earliest being built by me in 2000. It's not critical to anything and it's not noticeable unless you are looking for it. The other product the machines produce creates a trapezoid based in speeds and inertia at given diameters. 30 years and there has been no complaint and nobody noticed. I believe there is an underlying business related issue and the customer is looking for "something"
  8. So customer is complaining the final product we ship them is concave/convex. They were correct, I wont dispute this. My issue is management doesnt believe the product has always been like this. It's an insignificant visual because the calculations of some moves are not whole numbers. The motion controller doesnt translate perfectly and this combined with a very coarse ballscrew results in a .0006 error with every layer. When the product is at full OD the total is .080. Today I brought in two factory reps. Confirmed what i know. Were not able to correct it at the time. Management still wont believe it. I finally asked them if they thought a fucking ghost entered both machines and edited the code. Very frustrating

  12. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has awarded the Remington Defense Division of Remington Arms Company a $79.7 million dollar contract to provide up to 5,150 Precision Sniper Rifles (“PSR”) and 4.6 million rounds of precision ammunition. This award is the result of full and open competition conducted by USSOCOM. Remington Defense will serve as the system integrator for the PSR, which is a durable sniper system capable of providing accurate target engagement and modular capabilities in barrel length and caliber conversion. Remington Defense will utilize two other FGI companies in the production process; Barnes Bullets will produce ammunition and Advanced Armament Corporation (AAC) will manufacture muzzle breaks and suppressors. “We are proud to provide our military Special Operations Forces with top-of-the-line technology,” said George Kollitides II, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Group and Remington Arms. “The expertise, quality and centuries of experience at Remington are clearly recognized. This award not only represents a new era in precision sniper systems, but also proves that an American manufacturing company can still expand its product offerings and compete in this modern age to provide best in class weapons, ammunition, and suppressors to our troops defending freedom around the globe.” “Members of our armed forces, and especially those on Special Operations teams, are our Country’s first line of defense,” said John Day, Vice President and General Manager of Military and Law Enforcement. “They deserve the highest quality and newest technology available. Every aspect of the PSR was designed with this in mind.” Read more at remingtonmilitary.com.

  22. It's like there is a black cloud hovering over the day job. Quality complaints up the ass, machinery misbehaving in the oddest of ways and electronics failures for parts no longer available. There is always "something" going on but never like this. Getting sick and tired of it.
  23. Beautiful this past weekend, cold yesterday, tomorrow humid and in the 90's, 60 by the weekend.
