My feet for the most part spend their days in either a pair of Bates GX-8 Composite toe boots for the day job (see my post and images ) or a pair of Blackhawk Warrior Wear Black Ops Boots. Being on my feet all the time and having a bad back and webbed feet I have become a boot snob. I was pretty excited to see the new Bates Velocitor boot on youtube. As luck would have it Amazon has my size in black available with Prime delivery. Im going to order a pair on payday BTW Bates is also part of Wolverine which includes Saucony, Patagonia,Hytest and Merrell to name a few.

Im thinking someone else must be going to offer this as well or maybe a slightly different version. SWFA maybe?

My latest dilemma is a way to carry while cycling and mountain biking. I have been carrying a Kimber Pepper Blaster right on my bars but lately recent events from the locals have me wanting to carry pistol.

These look like a machined version of the HKS speedloaders. I use the Safariland Comp III but they arent really suitable for carry guns. I use the Comp III's with my 686 and the HKS with my 642. Might try one of the 5 Star next time I order from Brownells

A buddy went to Cabelas and another big gun shop in PA today. He said other than having to buy .22's buy the box both stores seemed well stocked. I know Brownells it catching up on back orders as well as sending out notifications of product ability on PMAGS, M14 mags to name a few. That would imply that the back orders have been filled and there is surplus. On the other hand I got an email from Midway explaining more reasons it sucks to live in CT

Needed a new ultra light fishing rig for behind the seat of the truck and mountain biking. I ordered a Shimano Stradic ST1000FJ and a G. Loomis Classic Trout & Panfish Spinning Rod SR6010-2 GL3. Don't normally purchase 2 piece rods if I can help it. However needed portability in this setup. I ordered a Plano 4243 Guide Series Rod Tube to carry it in. The reel and tube were Amazon prime so 7 bucks gets them in my hands tomorrow. Spent $30 to have the rod drop shipped next day from G Loomis. Hope they dont drop the ball.

There are all different kinds of taps. It can make you nuts. If you dont have Amazon prime places like MSC, Grainger and Mcmaster Carr will have stuff in your hand typically next day. MSC and Grainger have a lot of local branches open to the public. None of those three typically sell crap as far as taps go. Mcmaster has a great selector tool.

Well just moments ago I ordered a Canon Powershot S110. It was $349. I figure that was about the most I will spend on a camera that will go everywhere outdoors with me. Im a Nikon guy but I have love for Canon too.

I need a pair. Im river and lake fishing in water probably 45-70 degrees. The rivers are rocky, cold and fast. The lakes are warm yuck with lots of weeds, logs and sticks. I want to buy from Bass Pro. I sorta dialed in on these but basically Im clueless with these things. Input would be appreciated

Friday was our hottest and most humid day. I was lucky enough to be able to work at my desk all day on a drawing. After lunch just to be a wise ass I walked out on to the factory floor with a Dunkin Donuts "Great One" in hand and proceeded to announce that I bought the coffee and came out in the plant because it was too cold in the office. So get this We have a new water fountain and the company subsidies drinks from the machines. A quarter gets you water, juice and soda etc. I wont even go into people cleaning out the machines and taking the soda home. Anyhow despite this my job being both head of maintenance and director of IT allows me to have a company credit card. During the brutal weather every other day on my way to work I stop at the grocery store for 6 cases of water and a shit load of ice. Essentially way more than enough for two days/two shifts. Within an hour the employees start hording and hiding water. it's ridiculous. Aside from that they write there name on a bunch and put them in the fridge and freezer. At the end of the shift they think I dont notice but they take their marked and hidden water home. Essentially they are screwing themselves for the next day. Well last week a machine operator, a woman goes off on me that the coolers are empty and it's not right that the company is not keeping the coolers full. Keep in mind Im doing this to be nice. They dont work for me. nobody asks me to do this. Anyhow she's not angry because we are out of water she's angry because Im not physically taking the cases of water and refilling the coolers all day as needed. Now here's the best part I have water at my desk, bought by me. She goes in and starts taking my room temp waters. Now here's the real pisser. This same woman has a very sick husband. On her behalf I often fix her hours for time she misses to take her husband for treatments. I could lose my job for this. She also asks me to order vitamins from Amazon for her husband. I rarely take her money.... The whole situation pisses me off
