I chose standard lowers for two reasons. They can be spares for other guns and more importantly I needed CT preban lowers so I could mount cans.

When things weren't crazy I found the 9mm hardware was not to be found. I almost went with an ASA upper but is was pricey with a long lead time. In the end I went with a CMMG upper as it was readily available. I have no regrets.

I decided I need to get a handle on what I have and what I dont have. So far I found the following mags for handguns I dont own. (2) Para P14 .45 (4) Glock 17 9mm (3) CZ 75b 9mm ( 8 ) Sig Sauer P226 9mm I must really want the Sig <lmao> I only have 17 LR 308 Mags and 6 factory DPMS. I feel naked Oh well Im not done yet...stay tuned

When the shtf last time i was doing this at the Bushmaster website. Never had an issue getting lower parts that were not in kit form. Also saved me from buying a pistol grip and trigger I did not need. I have been thinking of trying to convert as many springs and pins as possible to industry standard parts from folks like Mcmaster carr. I simply dont believe all these parts are made specifically for firearms.

My problem is I need a post ban of either AR-10. Obviously I have magazines for the AR10A but Im also gathering the the AR10b magazines so I will be covered either way. I did try reaching out to PR to see if he had anything in his personal stash to sell. Unfortunately that was the day before the SHTF for him. For me i think locally is my best shot as the AR10 is not popular here and the ones that have been going up for sale have been priced fairly. I have NEVER seen a stripped lower for an AR10 here. Of course I need one like another hole in the head. Im sitting on a brand new MA-TEN receiver set <lmao>
