  1. Thank You
  2. Thanks
  3. Does anyone kmow what aftermarket bareels will fit the G2? the factory 20" piece overheats and is useless after a dozen rounds and im looking for a 20-24" bull
  4. interesting characters for sure. they fit right in Miami
  5. I get that, I think the old and rare M16 variants would hold pretty well, i think the what would tank are these M4 clones that people have built made up of AR civilian parts mixed with NFA restricted components. you see them on gunbroker all the time, there's one I'm looking at now. its a 1971 Colt SP1 Civilian rifle that's been converted to full auto, and the want 25,000 Stuff like that will go to zero. I'd be willing to bet that even we woke up tomorrow with no NFA, very few people would buy a full auto weapon or even convert one.
  6. That would make sense.
  7. Speaking of the chat, when it first started the internet connection dropped and closed the chat session,, it happened twice, and then it remained open till the end. funny thing was maybe 15-20 min later i got two email from them with chat transcripts, but never got the third with all the crazy talk, so he knew how to keep it from sending the nasty. So i'll figure i wasn't the fist target of his ignorance. lol
  8. I was thinking maybe the place was a family operation when there's always an entitled son , daughter etc, angry they had to work lol.
  9. Not really much use for it, plus for anything a collector would want, the prices are just too crazy. $28,000 plus for an old M16A1 is a little much. The real benefit would be the ability to purchase suppressors, assemble SBR's etc,
  10. They have a live chat on their site and i was interested in a 243 upper they had, but they were out of lowers, first I asked when they'd be back in stock and he said he had no clue, then i asked If their upper would mate up with any other brand, and he replied , no ide a and really don't care. Then he said why don't i buy the complete gun they had in stock. which I saw, but didn't have the barrel i wanted it was anodized in red which killed it. told him it wasn't my taste, then he said, go fornicate yourself then you cheap fornicate, you're just wasting my time. i asked him if he treated every potential customer the same way, and he replied back, We don't need your business and anyone else that has a problem can go shop somewhere else too. So i told him thanks for the chat and hope you go broke you scumbag. Then l moved on, but the chat session must have still be open because around 15 minutes later he replied back, that product speaks for itself and i wasn't worthy buying from them anyway. and also sent the address of the company and said if I had the balls I should come there for the beating the I The whole exchange. It was just plain crazy. I went and did some searching for reviews, and just on google alone they have dozens complaints. So I was just wondering if anyone else had a run with them or has heard of similar bad attitude? This was so over the top that i'm puzzled how as to why? and how they manage to keep the door open at all.
  11. Do you know anything about Moriarti Armaments? or know anyone that bought stuff from them? Let me know because a have a crazy story regarding them.
  12. I bears an uncanny resemblance to the DPMS GII, when they attempted a small frame 308 back in 14 or 15. It was a neat idea, but failed miserably as nobody cared about a lighter AR308, and I doubt they will now either. This release just helps further muddy the large format world, by adding yet another AR308 with no compatibly with the rest. There is zero brain power running the 308 market. The large format market could rival the AR15 if they'd just standardize the dimensions, and settle on one design. While I'm sure its a decent gun, it will ultimately be forgotten and become the firearms version of the the Sony Betamax and the RCA Laser Disc. oh and lets not forget LoJack lol
  13. That's a bad day for sure. I watched a Mini 14 suffer the same fate, when my cousin whose a bit dull do begin with, somehow chambered a .30 carbine round, and kaboom. Not sure how you mix those two but at the days end, a .30 bullet, and a .22 cal barrel do not good friends make on any platform.
  14. I'm send you a private message, with some thoughts, as opinions run rampant, and I've seen a lot of badgering on here, as everyone is the authority. Then they argue and someone loses time they'll never get back. I'm new here and just a simple individual so don't want to ruffle feathers. I'll send you my thoughts, and you can choose what to do with them.
  15. "Ship of Theseus" You're the first person I've run across to reference a thought experiment in Greek Philosophy. I wonder how many understand what it is? Anyway just cool there's someone else out there that knows its meaning.
  16. Absolutely true, when talking 308/7.62/51 its the opposite of the 223/5.56 where in the 5.56 is loaded to a higher pressure than its civilian counterpart the 223, in the case of the bigger round, the 308 is loaded to a higher pressure than the 7.62
  17. Honestly for the price, throw it away. It would cost more to ship than its worth alone. Just a thought here, but if you can for $349 you can get a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-12x40 and they have a lifetime warranty. I bought a Vortex Viper PST Gll 5-25x50 off ebay, its was a new open box item. They list for $1299, and I got it for $650 on auction, so technically it was pre-owned but just never mounted. Anyway, when I got it, I took it out of the box and it slipped out of my hand and hit the concrete floor, and damaged two turrets having fallen 3 feet to the ground. I called Vortex for a price to repair it and they advised ZERO, and I told them I had been the one to do the damage, and technically was the second owner, and they said it doesn't matter how the damage occurred or even if its used, its free of charge for life. So I shipped it to them and in 2 days they overnighted it back to me fully tested and repaired. My advice is spend a little now, and never worry again. All their stuff from low cost to top of the line carries the same warranty. Look on ebay for and bid on a used one and could probably find one of that magnification for $200
