  1. Wait a minute... DOES MY SIGNATURE SAY 308AR HAND MODEL?? <laughs> <lmao> Dammit Drew, you trickster.... <laughs>
  2. Let the mind games begin!!!! <thumbsup>
  3. I've got some theories that are just conjecture, but I think it's possible. I think the most likely one is that they had a contract with Douglas and once they've depleted their stock, the Kreiger barrel will become their "house brand" barrel blank for everything. I would think right now if you buy a Titan barrel that's not the Creedmoor, you're getting the Douglas, unless they've sold all their old stock. Plenty of good options too, 18.5", 20" and 22" barrels. As stated, I got the 18.5 just to try out a shorter, lighter barrel and it shoots unbelievably well.
  4. Here's the break down, Fulton Armory now sells Krieger Barrels for their M1 and M14 competition and peerless grades, and the AR barrels in 6.5 Creedmoor are Kreiger. However, if you buy their Titan 308 barrels or anything below the competition and peerless grades, you are getting a Douglas barrel. You can follow this link to see what I'm talking about: http://www.fulton-armory.com/%5Cfaqs%5CAR-FAQs%5CBarrels2.htm Then go to the Titan section and you should see that the 6.5 Creedmoor is the only AR barrel in that section that isn't labeled as a FA (Fulton Armory) barrel. <thumbsup> <thumbsup>
  5. Actually, I got rid of my 24" bull barrel set up and went with a self-built .308 AR that shoots .65MOA groups out of an 18.5" barrel. It might not necessarily be all you. I couldn't get my 24 incher to group very well either.
  6. No more so than me! I'm dying for Saturday to roll around. <munch>
  7. Good to know, I went full upgrade too. Now if only I had some idea of when my barrel will be showing up... <dontknow>
  8. Thanks for explaining that, I'll try to make it a habit. <thumbsup>
  9. LOL They are charging for all the pestering I did waiting for my carrier. I feel kinda sorry now for anyone who didn't pre-order. I can't wait to get mine!
  10. Great advice, I have heard enough horror stories about the big-box stores that I decided not to patronize them for my bow setup. I had a local shop outfit me with the bare necessities. I'm really new to this, so maybe you can break down what the proper follow-through is... I'd appreciate it! :)
  11. I'm sorry, the rifle has been sold. I should have updated the thread. In any case, I would have been unwilling to part it out... It leaves me with the temptation to do yet another build. <thumbsup>
  12. That is a CAA UPG16, it has different backstraps and foregrips you can interchange. It's very nice, I couldn't like it better.
  13. Yes, I will post up a pic after the range session, but they just milled the hammer clearance back a little further like the DPMS carrier. They did offer an explanation, while their basis for their carrier was the DPMS pattern, they didn't take differing hammer lengths into account. Apparently the prevalence of aftermarket hammers is bringing this to their attention, but to be fair, it's not an officially marketed product yet. I do think I got the same bolt carrier back, I sent it to them with the bolt, cam pin, and firing pin and retainer all installed. It shipped back to me the same way, only with a very clearly re-milled hammer clearance showing. I'm very happy that they got it back to me in time to shoot this weekend. Dry firing tests suggest that it's working perfectly, but I still want to put a few boxes through it before I proclaim it to be healed.
  14. I don't know, I quit counting after about the 500th time I watched that video and I still haven't seen a pistol. As soon as the chafing decreases to where I can walk, I'm going to get my eyes checked.
  15. Well, as an update I thought I'd let everyone know that my bolt carrier got back from Young today and hopefully I'll have some range results tomorrow. Stay tuned!!!
  16. I went and bought a secondhand bow today and had it set up so I could shoot in the archery tournament at our church's Fall Festival this year. I'm wondering who else here shoots bow, and what pointers you have to give me.... <dontknow> ;D
  17. <laughs> <laughs> I spent that whole video wondering where the pistol was...
  18. That's a sweet-lookin rig!!!
  19. My Young Manufacturing bolt carrier is already on the way back to me, and it just got sent out yesterday evening. Now that's service!!!!
  20. I thought so too, but I didn't browse around much, or recall the AR shotgun. Tom is like the encyclopedia britannica of the gun world... <laughs>
  21. Thanks, while I was on the search for unknowns, I found this too.... http://store.detroitgunworks.com/308-Billet-Lower_p_11.html
  22. I've found a .308 semi that I haven't seen before, I thought maybe you guys would be interested. Check it out! http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct1030.aspx
  23. That's the gist of the idea, but a dedicated thread rather than creating tons of new ones.
  24. While searching the Fulton Armory website to price parts to complete a build, I had an idea and I want to see what you guys think. I think it would be cool to have a section in our For Sale/Want to Buy where you can post a list of all the components you want to buy, and then responses can be posted with places where you can get the best prices and the totals for those components. Say for example: I'm building another Mega Monolithic build, and my barrel, bolt carrier and bolt, and trigger group are taken care of. So here's the parts I will need; Lower Parts Kit, minus the trigger - so parts like selector, buffer pin & spring, mag release and bolt catch, etc etc.... Rifle length buffer tube, and heavy buffer or Enidine Hydraulic buffer Tubb CS flat wire buffer spring Bennie Cooley small diameter muzzle brake, stainless Magpul PRS AR-10 stock Harris, Atlas, or GG&G Bipod So, the objective would to find the best possible price on all those items, including shipping to the poster's zip code, and then post up links to the items, and total the items and shipping in your post. The idea is to find out how you can collectively find the most inexpensive combination of items & shipping. So, what do you guys think?
  25. Welcome to the forums Greg! I checked out your website and I like what I saw. Glad to have you with us!
