  1. Caught this by accident about 3 days ago. Reminds me of Neil, but in Alaska. He has 3 more vids of this trip, after this, and I'll link that. This is badass, and complete self reliance. Pretty damned awesome to see. Here's his videos page on YT. The latest one just aired at 9am today, so this just happened. If you watch them in order, it's pretty fucking amazing. https://www.youtube.com/@TruckHouseLife/videos
  2. That thing is screamin' for a 62gr setup! Haulin' the mail, on a fragmenting round. I'll be running the 88gr ELD-Ms through it, and they're moving, but not like that. Got the Hornady Custom Grade dies today in the mail, and another Lee Factory Crimp Die to add into the die box. Didn't come with a shell holder, which was weird, but I'll pick up a couple Grendel shell holders next time I'm out to a place that has them. Pre-order is on on a Shaw barrel, 12.5" midlength. For something like the 18" that I love, I'm waiting for BA. The Shaw required you to select a drop-down option, forcing you to acknowledge that you were pre-ordering a barrel that will be available sometime during 1st quarter, 2024... End of March, basically. BA won't list their barrels until end of Jan / beginning of Feb. I'm sure that has something to do with SHOT Show timing. I'm on the notification list for that. Be a couple of badass uppers coming up soon. Ish.
  3. I gotta say - I'm COMPLETELY IMPRESSED with the 8.6 Blackout! What a fantastic cartridge. The difference between those subs and supers was wild - getting the recoil systems and function right was pure luck, and @BigNate's spare parts on-hand. Full normal recoil system for the supers, VLTOR A5 extension, H3 carbine buffer, Sprinco Red spring. Works great. Wouldn't eject the sub cases. Quick check - toss in a lighter buffer. He had a regular 3.0oz carbine buffer, and a rifle spring from an AR15 - works with the subs, perfectly. We got lucky, but we didn't send but one wasted sub round downrange to come up with that combo. Ammo conservation at it's finest! We started the SA gasblock wide open, the first round was a sub, and didn't eject. Next round was a super, ejected, locked the bolt back. We were on fire after that. So, I don't know what the gas port diameter is, but it doesn't matter - we now know how to get the 8.6 running, depending on what ammo you're shooting. I'm sure this info will change slightly once a can goes on there, but that's what the SA adjustable gas block is for. One badass little platform! Numbers from the magnetospeed = Subs went 981, 961, 942. Supers went 1962, 1958. I imagine those sub speeds will even out once the barrel is broken in, and everything smooths out.

    DAMN!!! THAT IS BADASS!!!
  5. I managed to download the whole thing, so I'll try to figure out how to upload it somewhere where anyone can watch it, and not be restricted. I'll work on that over this weekend.
  6. I'm just south of you by an hour-drive. You need to come down and shoot with me sometime, man. What I have available down here will blow you away...
  7. This is also why I encourage everyone to watch "Sons Of Liberty," every year, over July 4th weekend. Watch that with the whole family. Know your history.
  8. Boston Tea Party. This was the beginning, the start, of taking more taxation from the Crown, Brittain. It started before this, but the pressure of it all led to the Boston Tea Party, and that led to much, much more. We are what we are, as a nation, because of everything that led to that, the steps taken up to that, and all that happened after that. It was either December 16th or December 17th, 1773, depending on which historical account you reference. In the end, it doesn't matter what day it actually occurred, but it certainly changed the course of this young country, right then. The escalation afterwardsis what led to the founding of this great nation... If you have Fox Nation, this is a great one to watch. If you don't have that, I'll try to find a way for you to watch this video. It's worth your time. https://nation.foxnews.com/watch/7d0efe1c0ef277827710bced55b978c2/
  9. He named it after it was on the ground, before he dressed it - he named it "Delicious..."
  10. ^^^ This right here. This is why, on Large Frames - Don't Complicate Shiit, with Complicated Shiit... Stick to the basics, stick to the original design, make the gun work. If it's a Race Gun, and you're winning trophies and money - complicate it as much as you want, to get that "power factor" and no recoil impulse, with your custom-loaded ammo, that's meant only for competitions... Otherwise, just Don't Complicate Shiit with Complicated Shiit. It'll always let you down, in the long run.
  11. FUK YEAH! Love me some Nick Irving, brother! Read his books, buy his book on long distance shooting skills - it's worth it. "No SEAL has ever had to rescue US..." Fuckin' truth. Hate to add this one in there for good measure, but I will any way. Because.
  12. Double that, and you'll be getting closer, brother.
  13. Man, no worries - I LOVE a success story, and gas guns that run like they're supposed to. Where are you at, shooting that? The new BLM Range out by Lake Pleasant, AZ?...
  14. 37 is what I'd just call "a good start..."
  15. This is GREAT NEWS, brother!!! I think?...
  16. If anyone is interested in waiting... Ballistic Advantage will list their barrels in late Jan / early Feb, on their website. Earlier emails will be sent, on barrel launch, if you're signed up on their email list. E.R. Shaw barrels (Shaw Custom Barrels) has a pre-order up right now, with barrels at discounted prices... if you wait. I have a 12.5" heavy barrel, 7-twist, midlength gas, pre-ordered right now. For the 18", I'm waiting for the BA SPR profile barrel, when it drops. As soon as it drops, I'll let you know, because I'll already have one on order... Here's the Shaw webpage on the 22 ARC barrel offerings. https://www.shawcustombarrels.com/shop/category/22-arc/70
  17. That was a damned great article, brother - thank you for posting that one.
  18. I don't think she used honey in that one, but I'll watch it again just to make sure, brother. Maybe I misunderstood you... Here she is cooking some giant river prawns...
  19. Case dimensions and drawing, for those that geek out on this stuff. Here's the comparison to the current Wildcat, the .22 Grendel. From the looks of this, below, compared to above, you'll be able to neck down some 6.5 Grendel brass, and make this work, without turning the necks. Which is a big plus.
  20. I think you guys need cultured. Learn to cook more... I reference to that, I'm gonna post up a vid on cooking Thai Panang Chicken. If you follow the recipe closely, it should turn out great. Enjoy...
  21. Sad day, for the evolution of a truly revolutionary pistol design.
  22. Here's another straight-forward fact-based article on the 6 ARC. This is pretty damned good. https://gunmagwarehouse.com/blog/6mm-arc-everything-you-want-to-know-about-it/
  23. Here's the latest industry-opinion on the position of 6 ARC. The article does a great job of explaining everything that went on, is going on, and where 6 ARC is now. I think it's here to stay - at least it is for me. I'm rolling a badass full-on LaRue Mk12 18" version, another LaRue 16" upper version, and a 12.5" shorty. I'm keeping it, no matter what. I've seen how it does. Here's the opinion of Recoil Mag on where it's at now... https://www.recoilweb.com/6mm-arc-ballistics-review-179189.html
  24. Let's fix that! Just sent you a PM with some Lat/Long Coords in it. Let me know if that's gonna work...
