One other thing I noticed with the bolt that came my barrel is it's a little (.010") shorter than the SI-Defense bolt I have that came as part of a BCG.  I've tried every search I can think of but can't find what the length dimension for a DPMS-pattern .308 bolt should be.  Does anybody here know?  Or mind measuring one of their own?  Since it has room to move within the carrier it probably isn't that important, but I don't know for sure.

You're going to see some variance since it's headspace-matched to the barrel. As long as it headspaces correctly and the firing pin isnt obstructed due to an overly long bolt, I don't anticipate any problems.

I never measured one , but that's not much of a variance in the length of a bolt & if its NIB coated , could make a slight difference. The firing pin stop is in the Bolt Carrier, though a too long of tail or the OL of the Bolt , could cause problems . I have three around here I can measure , ( 1 FA , 1 DPMS & 1 SI d., how did you measure it ?  From end to end ?
