I know you can do stress analysis on materials in SW but is that spaghetti actually representing gas flow? Or did you just doodle that to get the concept? Never really gave that any thought for the design of a suppressor. Although with today's software I shouldn't be surprised.
DFBuckShot
I have been reading these forums for a while and noticed you mentioned your form 1. Was wondering how long it took to get back your stamp n all. I found a complete solvent trap kit at http://www.solventtrap.net But I'd appreciate any helpful advice as I love doing things myself. It's actual flow, based on simplified, but real CFD (computational fluid dynamics). Just like the stress analysis in SW, the flow analysis is also a "light" version. There has been some speculation as to why the times have jumped so drastically in the last few months, as it used to be around 30 days. One school of thought is that the ATF had a rush of efiled form 1's because of the May 15th deadline on the decision about making the trust trustees get CLEO signoff and fingerprinted the same as individuals, and the other school of thought is that the ATF is trying to close the disparity in the process times of efiling and paper filing. Because all the hand-wringer media has been doing articles on how easy it is to get "automatic silenced belt-fed machinegun grenade launchers, just by filling out a form."
