code1concealment
I have a question I'm sure someone will know the answer to. I'm building a .308 AR on a Mega Arms Maten set the barrel is a 16 inch Rainier with a rifle length gas system. I plan on using a carbine length buffer tube with a collapsible stock. Do I use a carbine buffer or a rifle buffer?
blue109
If you have a standard carbine extension, you need a 308 specific buffer and spring. Can you post a link to the barrel you are using? I didn't know rainier had a 16" rifle gas barrel.

Magwa
So you are building a 308 dissipator interesting to see if it runs good or if it has any of the gas problems that the 5.56 little brother has in cold weather...

We haven't had anything colder to shoot in yet this year but when we do you can bet I'll be giving it a go. I like to try everything I own at 10 below or colder. code1concealment
Thanks for the info. I'll post some groups and report on reliability when it's done.
