  Well we did a 180 as far as the M16/M4 is concerned & I for one think its a good thing mostly . Those who remember the " Mad Minute " this will bring   back memories . Its all about fire control .

Sweet Mary, Mother of Jesus...  I remember arguing about M4 versus M4A1 to idiots on this very board about 4-ish years ago.  Idiots said all M4s were the same, I argued the point that SOF was the only contingent with M4A1-spec'd carbines, and it turned into a shitstorm here. 

 

...This is now news in 2016 - from a "study" in fukking 2006?! - and they're FINALLY progressing with the fukking upgrades?!  Gotta be kidding me. 

Some infantry units got the heavy barrel and other small schit years ago, the KAC rail, etc.. Those weren't M4A1s, though.

I feel vindicated, now, after having my dick kicked in about "arguing with people just to start something..."

I come from a time that there were three positions on the M16 & none of them were three shot burst !
