JourneyMan84
Currently making my way through my first 308 build and have run into an issue of the BCG becoming stuck when charging the rifle. The build is not complete yet as I am still lacking handguard, barrel, and optic but do not want to proceed if I have an incompatible parts combo currently. The BCG will move freely if the rear take down pin is inserted halfway or fully removed, but will not let the BCG charge and return to home without some coxing. survivalshop
How about some photos of you Buffer assembly & Where your Receiver Extension ( Buffer tube ) is attached to the Lower Receiver. Sounds like its hitting something back there , any rub marks on anything , like inside the Receiver Extension ? Spring could be binding in there or the Buffer , hard to say with out photo's of your set up .
MikedaddyH
How long is the buffer ??? You state it is a DPMS rifle buffer. Measure and count coils on spring. Measure length of receiver extension (buffer tube)… This will give us a base for diagnosis.
JourneyMan84
The receiver extension is a DPMS Rifle Length Tube- will measure this evening I took a few images of the extension mounted to the lower and there were some scrape marks on the bottom side of the tube. Would reference picture but unable to post currently. No scrapes or marks on Under side of BCG. Will post measurements tomorrow. Thank you for all your ideas and help so far.
