bdavison78613 Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 on the below links there are a Krieger and a Criterion 20 inch 308 barrel. the Krieger is almost twice as much, is there that much accuracy difference between the 2 to justify that price tag? http://www.fulton-armory.com/barrelfatitan20nmm110ss1x12875gasblockthreaded.aspx http://www.fulton-armory.com/barrelfatitan20nmm110ss1x12875gasblockthreaded-2.aspx
DNP Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Different styles of rifling on those. Looks to be the main difference. Both are very reputable companies and if it were me I'd go with Criterion. Though, it would be a biased move on my part as they are here on this site and have been very helpful over the time they've been here. Also, both of those barrels would far outperform my capabilities.

Dane Armory Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 I have seen and touched Kreiger barrels that cost over $700 and blanks over $500. You get what you pay for !
survivalshop Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Do you plan on shooting long range Match's ? If I were going to be into long range professional shooting the Kreiger would be logical . If just a very good shooting rifle for target practice /Hunting , normal ranges or long range I would go with the Criterion . I'm biased also , because I own three Criterion Barrels , the 20"HB & 16"HB's are Fulton Armory, Kreiger/Criterion & my 18" Hybrid is a full Criterion & they all shoot better then I ever will . When I was younger & had fresh eyes , I could wring much more out of them then now . The 20" is a one hole grouping rifle , the 18" is very close to that & the 16" will keep up with both of them , I don't have a range past 200 yards , so I cannot test to anything further , but i'm confident , they will do the job at much greater distances also.
