josiahg52
Does anyone make an AR-10 compatible upper with no forward assist and/or dust cover?

Robocop1051
Mega used to make one for the AR15. I still own one. Not sure if they made a bigger version though.
josiahg52
I've been thinking of an AR in 6.5 Creedmoor for a bit and was hoping there was an ArmaLite-style upper so I didn't have to invest in another lower. The only reason I was thinking of "featureless" was because I don't need a dust cover and the bolt carrier I'm looking at doesn't have the serrations for a forward-assist. Neither really affect operation anyway so I can go ahead and get a standard AR-10 upper or just go all out and build a lower and upper together. Just was checking to see if I had missed something first.
SNKEBIT
I just looked at my "smooth side" upper from American Made Tactical and I really like the looks. Forgot to take pics again, dammit!!! I will get some and post later.
survivalshop
Just remember the Armalite , AR 10 & DPMS ,LR receiver sets are different . The FA on a DPMS type of Upper Receiver does contact the BCG with out the assist serrations , it contacts the BC shoulder , not much but some assist .
