F1 MATCH RECEIVERS

I found this looking for other parts. Will someone please explain to me how this will keep outside elements out of your AR with this receiver set? 

I know it a competition 3 gun set and those shooters are always breaking down and cleaning there guns constantly but this seems a little extreme.

 I think its all about weight reduction , for race guns .

It does say it comes with dust covers, but im not sure if i be will to give up potential reliability or even safety.

The ones I've seen built are like those chopper build off shows "trailer queens" in this case "safe queens"
