Nope all the Lakes around me are open or unsafe with what little ice there is left. It was 55-65 for a week, back down to semi normal temps now. Been a horrible year I had my shack out for 10 days got to fish 3.
beantown
Those ice shoves are insane. I don't think there is much that would stop it. I watched the video of the condos that got hit last year. Incredible what mother nature can do.
Sisco
Ice fishermen are out this morning, but not going out to the edge of open water on Superior. Guy went through the ice a couple of days ago. Fortunately two other guys with float coats and PFD's went in after him and got him out. Lost his snowmobile.Winnebago and Mille Lacs both get those monster ice shoves. When I lived outside Minneapolis I lost a roll o dock to them one year.
