buckhorn_cortez Report post Posted July 14, 2012 Les builds the entire rifle including the barrel. The receiver is a Les Baer design and is larger/thicker than a standard AR10 style receiver. The bolt is a Les Baer design and has several patents for the bolt design. The rifle I have is the Sniper model and it will shoot 1/2 MOA (or smaller) groups. The entire gun is extremely well made and finished. It is, however, HEAVY. The larger receiver, heavy weight barrel, and aluminum forearm (that acts as a heat sink) puts the gun at 12 pounds with the bipod and not loaded. With the scope (US Optics 3.8-22x) and a full magazine it weighs right at 14.5 lbs.The Enforcer muzzle brake is done with an EDM and then finished with ball end mill cuts to shape the openings to the barrel. The gun weight plus muzzle brake reduces the recoil to about .243 level. It is a high performance semi-automatic that will give repeatable accuracy at whatever distance you want to shoot. I've used it to 600 meters and can easily hit 12-inch steel silhouettes at that range once the scope is doped in for the distance and cross wind. fr3db3ar Report post Posted July 14, 2012 I want to say my buddy's AR is a Les Baer but I can't remember exactly.24" heavy barrel and I wouldn't want to have to carry this thing even 1/2 mile.
