LAR 8 barrel life

I have heard of 2 LAR 8 barrels washing out after 500 rounds

Has anyone else had barrel life issues?

The rifle is an all stock Rock River Arms LAR8 standard A4 20" barrel

I have put many more rounds through my 16" LAR8 without problem.
