goinbroke Posted December 3, 2017 Report Posted December 3, 2017 I recently acquired an Armalite AR-10 B-series rifle from my brother, and I'm trying to identify what it's stock configuration was. Looking at this amazing post: Is there a way that I can identify exactly which rifle I have and what it's original confuration (buttstock, forend, sights, etc.) was? My particular rifle has a US329XXX serial number, "AR-10" marking, 20" bbl, M4 feedramp cuts on the upper receive and chamber, military trigger, A4 flat top, rifle length gas system, and the gas block has what looks like only a single picatinny cut across the top. What else should I look for? picture for reference:
Sisco Posted December 4, 2017 Report Posted December 4, 2017 Have you called Armalite customer service? They can help you with this.
goinbroke Posted December 5, 2017 Author Report Posted December 5, 2017 Isn't there a more nuanced and complicated way to do this? That just seems to... easy.

That, literally, is the way to do it. They will tell you what the original model was, based on the serial number. You look up that model, and that's what you'll see as the original, in-the-skin rifle...
goinbroke Posted December 9, 2017 Author Report Posted December 9, 2017 Called them on Tuesday. Gentleman told me he'd look into it and call me back. Still waiting...
