Milcollector
Hi - I recently acquired one of the Portuguese AR10 A1s and I'm hoping someone can help me with some information. It was built on a Sendra steel lower. Anyone know where I could find a manual on it? I know most of it is similar to a modern AR but I don't know how the gas system takes down or how the handguards are removed, etc. Also, the pistol grip, stock, and forearm are aluminum. They have been painted silver. I have seen another reference to that so I don't know if they did that to try and reflect some heat or ??? I guess I could strip the paint but what should the finish underneath look like - anodized, flat black,??? Does anyone know where I could get wood furniture for it? Lastly, I understand Brownells is releasing a retro version of it next month. Any thoughts on that or how it might effect prices of originals? Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks! Sisco
If you check back in the archives a few months there was a fellow on the forum that collected original AR10’s and was very knowledgeable about them. I will see if I can find the thread and post a link. I would PM him and hope he answers. Edited May 22, 2018 by Sisco
