Armalite AR-10 "B" Gen1 Vs. Gen2 Magazines?

Question!

I had a few 25rd Armalite Gen2 magazines I really didn't want. I don't like how long they are. Posted them to trade for some 20 round Gen2's and the person trading with me sent me a couple Gen2's and a Gen1.

I expected all Gen2's as that was what I was trading.

Is there any reason I wouldn't want the Gen1? I'm trying to decide if I just say "whateva" and take the Gen1 also or if I should politely return the Gen1.

Never used a Gen1 but they made the GenII for a reason.

Never used a Gen 1. But agree with JT. Or test it and see if it works if you have time.
