Papabull Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 I know the SR 762 is very much yesterday's news, but as I still own one I need some information that I cannot provide myself at the moment. Could one of you measure the OEM firing pin length, and standoff from the bolt face? It would be much appreciated information... Forum search did not turn up this info, at least as far as I could see. Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to provide this information!
Belt Fed Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 I'll see what I can do, it may be a bit as it is storming. what do you mean by standoff from bolt face? how much it protrudes?
Belt Fed Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 Also welcome to the site. Go to the link and introduce yourself. https://forum.308ar.com/forum/22-introductions/
Papabull Posted August 10, 2019 Author Report Posted August 10, 2019 Yes, protrusion as well as overall length - length if no depth mic handy would be fine. I am finding just how proprietary Ruger was in designing this rifle... Thanks for the reply!
Belt Fed Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 Shoot, it may be a while, it won't stop raining and storming. my yard looks like a lake.
Belt Fed Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 (edited) Ok, here ya go. had to work it in between rain showers. I couldn't get a measurement on the protrusion and my camera sucks at close ups. Ok i'll have to post this and them edit it to get the pics. hang on a couple minutes. Papabull Posted August 11, 2019 Author Report Posted August 11, 2019 Okay, that's what I need - I can compare to my firing pin and protrusion is what it is with length being the same. Thanks for dodging the rain to measure - I owe you one!
RedRiverII Posted August 11, 2019 Report Posted August 11, 2019 That's a classy move right there. Sharing some information like many others on 308ar.com do, is one of the things that separates this site from others. I'm glad to be here.
