BeeKay
I have a DPMS pattern AR that I have a couple barrels for - One is .358 Winchester and the other is .308. Both barrels are KAK and I have a KAK bolt carrier For those who are unfamiliar with that brand, their BCG comes with double ejectors. I've only fired it a few times, as I am in the process of getting it dialed in and one thing I'm having an issue with is that it destroys brass upon ejection and I am becoming convinced that the double ejectors is the source of the issue. The ejectors fling the brass out with considerable force and they slam the neck of the case against the lugs and it puts some deep scratches into the neck. This wouldn't be an issue if I didn't want to reload. But with the .358 ammo is next to unavailable. I have been thinking about trying to pick up some other ejector springs and maybe cut a few coils from them. Do .308 ejectors use the same ejector springs as AR 15s? Any ideas are tremendously appreciated

The dual ejector set in my Sig 308 AR bolts are AR-15 ejectors and springs, betting yours are as well. Get a few extra springs and do a little sniping, you won't be out much for trying. 98Z5V
Just shiit-can the dual ejector bolt, and go with a standard bolt - It's a standard .308 AR bolt, with the same base as .308 Win - because it's just a necked-up .308 Win case in the .358 Win... Same parent case, any .308-caliber bolt will work... Never sweat it after that. I'm running single ejector on a .338 Fed gun, .260 Rem gun. Fuk, I don't own any of the fancy dual-ejectors - for any AR gun I have. They work fine. That's just Complicating Shiit With Complicated Shiit - it's unnecessary - but someone found a way to sell it. mrmackc
Yep, brother "If it ain't broke don't try to fix it!" If you want to fix something, there is usually enough stuff laying around that needs fixing, anyway.
