ArmyAirborneAviator
I had a friend build me an AR10 308 and while I've ID'd most of the parts I can't figure out the forestock manufacturer. No numbers or logo on it at all. The builder is no longer available. Anybody have an idea on the brand? Photo attached.
Radioactive
Does it really matter? Something wrong with it? Looks like a clone of Midwest industries maybe. Going to be a tough guess. With no markings that’s what it will be is a guess. You might get lucky and someone on here will be able to tell you right off the bat but then again... If you back them out and measure the OD of the thread, you can find torque specs quite easily online. https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/bolts/US-Recommended-Torque.aspx
Radioactive
Instructions prob just said tighten with Allen wrench. Just don’t gorilla it and you should be gtg. Keep eye on it for looseness and don’t worry too much about it.
shooterrex
ThAt rail has anti rotation tabs. All those little bolts do is hold onto the barrel nut. As long as your rail isn't moving on the barrel nut you should be good to go. No need to really crank them down. Just snug enough so the rail stays in place. COBrien
My general rule on handguard clamp bolts like that is Blue LocTite and 15-20 in-lbs. Hasn't failed me yet. Edited August 19, 2020 by COBrien
