Matt.Cross Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Today is Veteran's Day and this is my way of honoring the brave men and women of our great country who have served, are serving, or have made a commitment to serve our country by joining the military:I heard a WWII veteran on the radio today giving a short story about his experience at Pearl Harbor. As far as I'm concerned, it was two of the most profound minutes I've experienced in a lifetime. You can listen to the story here:http://cdn.storycorps.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/listen/audio/curre.mp3I felt pretty emotional when the story was done and I thought about the many years of sacrifice that have created and bolstered the freedom of our nation. I nearly started to cry at the thought of how we as a society have answered our veteran's sacrifice. At the same time, I felt and still feel an immeasurable pride in the courage and fighting spirit in the heart of the American warrior. There is none more honorable, bold, fearsome, courageous, courteous, and ferocious than the American serviceman.I am and always will be at YOUR service. Today, and always my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you and yours, and may God bless America!
unforgiven Posted November 13, 2011 Report Posted November 13, 2011 When I see a member of our armed services both active and inactive the words Duty,Honor,Valor always come to mind. You are always remembered and will always be loved.Thank you from my family and from a greatful nation.God bless each and everyone of you and you'r families.
MaDuce Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 I can't hear anything. It just looks like a regular webpage. My friend's dad was at Pearl Harbor and he called me on Veteran's day and the conversation went in to him telling me all about it. Those guys had it rough.
