Unbelievable. I've seen pics of B-17'a with their tail blown off and landing. Even seen pics of B-29's shot to hell and still making back. I've never even heard of a B-52 having this kind of catastrophic damage AND flying back and landing under it's own power.

A tip of the hat to the captain and crew of that stratofortress, and Boeing. The B-52's have been around for a lot longer than most people even realize.

Somewhere some number cruncher probaly thought this proves the plane was overbuilt and eliminating stuff would reduce cost and increace profit
