Barrel Prep - Polish Chamber? Lap Barrel?

Does anyone use a Flex Hone to polish the chamber on a new barrel or is that only for when you have problems?

How about lapping the barrel during break in?

I've used a chamber mop and a real fine lapping compound on a tight chamber with good results, I really don't even look close unless there are problems with extraction or odd marks on brass. Never lapped a barrel.

I have used JB bore paste on a few barrels to polish the bore. I don't mess with the chamber unless there is a problem.
